Are you allergic to any foods? Do your family and friends always accommodate you?
Here in DownUnder, we have the Food Allergy Week happening. This is of interest to me as I have food allergies. Every single day, I need to know exactly what I am eating. Unfortunately, I had a scare only a few weeks ago. I was very distracted and a lovely lady offered me a biscuit... I took it, ate it, and then when I went over to thank her again, she informed me it contained peanuts. The allergic reaction started within minutes. O_o Long story short... no hospital trip but medication, an afternoon of discomfit and two days recuperating.
The statistics are that 1 in 10 babies born will develop a food allergy... hence the one nail painted. If you would like to do that to help raise awareness, that'd be great!!
If you'd like to do more, try the challenge...
Or even just a day or two.Adopt an allergy
As part of food allergy awareness week Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia are encouraging people to pick a food allergy and avoid that food for the entire week to discover how hard it is to live with food allergies.

People can be allergic to any food. In fact, there are 170 different foods that are known to cause anaphylaxis (a severe and potentially life threatening allergic reaction).
The nine most common food allergies are; egg, fish, shellfish, soy, wheat, cow’s milk, sesame, peanuts and tree nuts.
I'll do my bit and not eat peanuts. Ever again.
