Super Crate Box

An platformer/arena shooter game. Enemies drop down from the top. A crate is always present somewhere on the level. Grabbing the crate gives you a new weapon and spawns another crate.

You are scored on how many crates you pick up. The fun comes when you're improvising strategies given your randomly picked up weapon, trying to bridge the gap between yourself and the new crate. The weapons vary in damage, range, and its own wacky traits. It's a game that I find myself falling into a state of "flow"; games like Tetris, Quake 3, and Spelunky.

I actually like the mines. I set up a defensive perimeter around the safe zones so that those floaty skulls don't sneak up behind me.
