Magic rebalancing

Okay, a lot of stuff happening.

First the unpleasant stuff.
Magic is BORKED.
Up until now it hasn't been an issue, but now we're going to need to take some actions because it's clear that it's getting worse. We've decided to take the least extreme method at first, and try to balance it by adjusting MP. The next time you level up, you'll notice the change in your stats. It's possible some players will need to readjust their stats. We'll work with you to get through it.

Second! The "Check Area" System has been brought online. I've been working on it for some time. It's the first step I'm taking to try and flesh out the existing RPG and make it a more interesting, fun place to explore. I was going to wait, because there's a lot more coming, but I decided to just open up what's ready and working at the moment and let you have some fun with it.

Third! A new Quest has become available. Check out the newly opened TreasureHunter's Guild for details.

The entire idea of magic is really what's broken, though. Why would you use normal attacks when magic hits every turn and gains strength twice as fast?

Because some of us enjoy having to repeatedly stab some one in the face over and over again with a large pointy sword. Or some of us enjoy the feeling of crushing a man’s skull with your bare hands as you "crush" your fist into their head.

That and Magic isn't that much of a big deal in a player vs. player fight. So long as the weapons fighter has dumped equal points to his Magic Def.

All the magic attack power in the world isn't going to do you much good if you don't have the MP to actually use it, and the fact that you've sacrificed your evade means that physical attacks aren't going to miss either. This is a more subtle aproach to solving the problem, but further measures will be taken if it remains.

I like magic abuse when I'm doing it.

That didn't work.

Sooo.... we'll have to try what I've been trying to avoid. Magic Attack will be cut to 1 per point. MP will be put back up to 3 per point. Your stats will readjust the next time you level up, but if you'd like to change stuff around, just contact S1x or myself.
