Fire Emblem RPG

#1

Post by imported_Cysma » Mon Jan 26, 2004 9:33 pm

After playing the only game that came outside of Japan, I was greatly inspired to make it a roleplaying game here. I am the Lord of the new campaign, and anyone else can join in as any class (except leveled-up classes. I.E. General, Paladin, Bishop, etc.) and be Good (blue) Evil (red) or Neutral (green). One person can also be the Tactician that makes most of the decisions. Here is my character:

Name: Cysma
Class: Lord
Gender: Male
Primary Weapon(s): Sword, Lance
Current items: Iron Sword, Iron Lance, Vulnerary (3 uses left).

Don't worry about the RPG stats part, it may be too complicated and less fun, so the battles will be realtime, as is the field movement.

I'll start once we have a tactician...

Well, the tactician doesn't have COMPLETE control. (s)he just suggests where everyone should go and make the decisions that determine the path of the story.

We'll see what happens, and if it gets out of hand then we could forget the Tactician thing. Now, Lord Umbra, are you going to join?

I said the Fire Emblem gameplay itself is ditched: as it's all real-time, but still divided into "Chapters". The story follows Cysma and anyone else that joins him, technically a controlled RPG, but players can also be evil (or neutral) as well, so I have a general idea for what the story will be, but the details and paths the story will take I do not know...

I mean, the action is written out in literary format, rather than, "This unit moves this many spaces and attacks this enemy unit with this weapon for that amount of damage."

Hmm...I guess we can start now, not sure about the Tactician anyways.
--------------------------------------------------
Prologue: Warrior of Vengeance

Cysma walked through a large clearing with hills about the plain, trying to remember his destination as he carried a sword in hand.

He remembered the news about an enigmatic force known as the Kaguron Empire, whose kingdom had expanded from another continent. However, this was not good news to anyone, as the empire was known for its barbaric cruelty and iron-fisted ruler. If the expansion continued in its current direction, his homeland would soon fall under their rule and assumptiously be enslaved. He couldn't let this happen, and set out to stop it.

The warrior was checking his map when he heard a strange rustling in a bush behind him. Turning around, he stumbled backward as a Brigand suddenly jumped out at him!

Cysma thrusts out his sword at the attacking bandit as soon as he appeared, cutting him apart with his sword. Turning to his side, he sighted a figure on horseback surrounded by a group of them, and charged forward to get rid of them. "I'll drive them into your shooting range, and you finish them!" He shouted to the nomad as soon as he saw the bow.

Seeing one brigand fall dead, Cysma took his chance and slashed his sword wildly at the remaining bandits, blood soon covering it and his arm. One of them caught his eye atop a hill as it threw the boomerang-like Hand Axe into the woods where the nomad hid. "Look out!" He yelled instinctly.

hmm I wouldn't mind joining. But is there many things related the Fire Emblem's plot? Because if not then I'll start roleplaying ASAP. If so, maybe someone can fill me in on the basic details?
