I thought it was good. But I could never enjoy it as much as a video game FF. It barely had any plot twists, and they weren't that great, and yeah, there was no super evil villain who brought about destruction, just a bunch of Spirits that didn't have any plans of world domination, and didn't personally threaten the characters and show up every now and again to taunt them and send someone after them. Even though most people don't really think about it that much, the one thing Square is really good at is making villains and rivals, people that personally hurt the main characters physically and emotionally.

Three men who killed Sir Edmund Berry were hung for the murder in 1911 at London's Greenberry Hill. Their last names were Green, Berry, and Hill.
