"Old Time Gamer" Review: Vurtual Boy Starter Pack

I recently found my old Vurtual Boy with the two games that came with it: Mario Tennis and Wario Land. I decided to do a review for them. Just remember that these games is old when you read this.

Maybe i'll do more with old games, start it as a siries of reviews. Could liven the place up a bit.

First game: Mario Tennis

Graphics: The heart of this game is the 3D the Vurtual Boy was made for. The beginning of Mario hitting the ball right at my face made me jump out of the way. When you are playing, it takes a little getting used to to know when you hit the ball, but doesn't take that long after you play for five or so minutes. 8/10

Music: There isn't that much to say for the music. There is different music for every level you play, and the music matches the level. Nice, easy-going music for Peach, Adventurous type of music for Mario, etc. 6/10

Gameplay: It's Tennis. What else? It's fun for when you are bored, but too easy to win. You work you way up to the net and spike it. 15 points for you. Seven characters will keep you busy for a while though. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Koopa, Donkey Kong Junior, and Yoshi, playability all what you would expect. Yoshi and Toad being the lightest with not much power, the opposite with DK Junior. 7/10

Overall: Hey, it's a fun game. It's one of those games you play when you're bored.7/10

Next game: Wario Land

Graphics: Detailed characters, decent usage of the 3D (jumping to and from the background and foreground). The items and hats and whatnot are nicely detailed also. The trail of Wario's form when he does the "Bull Tackle" is a nice touch. 8/10

Music: Like Mario Tennis, the music fits the area you are in. Tense music for fighting bosses. Better music than Mario Tennis, though. Glad about that. Not mush else to say about music. 7/10

Gameplay: Fun, although it gets a little difficult at the end. The bosses attack wildly so it's hard to see the pattern, and in the 8th(?) level, aiming with the Watermelon catapult is difficult, but all in all it's fun. 9/10

Overall: All in all, it's a decent game. If you're into the old games like these, I reccomend buying it (if you can find it).

Considering how much fun I had with these games, I can't see why people didn't, like the VB. Call me crazy.
The NRA says \"Guns don\'t kill people, people kill people\"...but I think the gun helps. I don\'t think someone going around yelling \"BANG!\" is going to kill too many people.
