Absolutely. I like turkey breast the most, not much for dark meat.

Best way to eat turkey is with all the traditional Thanksgiving sides. Turkey lunchmeat for sandwiches is fine too, although I prefer chicken.

With something like a roasted Thanksgiving turkey, I prefer dark meat.
I also like deli-sliced turkey, turkey bacon, et cet.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Not a meat I ever buy for myself. At its best (i.e. cold cuts), it's low-tier; at its worst (aka as a main course), it's dry and deeply unpleasant. Tied with stuffing as the least essential part of the Thanksgiving table, and there's always mounds of leftovers (I notice people are always trying to push a bag of turkey shrapnel on us after Thanksgiving, but never any green bean casserole or sweet potato pie-----------gee, it's almost as though turkey is gross and nobody wants to keep all seventy pounds of it to themselves).

I'm not saying to get rid of the turkey at Thanksgiving entirely------------all I'm saying is that a huge stack of Savages would serve the same purpose whilst also reminding us of somebody we should all truly be thankful for. Ooh yeahh.

Turkey officially is the ideal American bird. It should be way above the Eagle.

The Eagle is actually a species introduced to north America. The Eagle in the United States is usually referencing the "Golden Eagle" which is the same bird used in Nazi-Germany symbolism.

The Turkey will keep on fighting and defending it's nest longer then an Eagle can. Eagles rob and steals from other birds ( as most hawks does ), and will flee it's nest rather then defend it's young.

The Turkey represents the bounty that United States is for all. A funny thing about eating Turkey it has a chemical which can make you tired as well.

I will admit I enjoy eating it all year around. Love those big sized necks, gizzards, and white-meat parts. Funny people even enjoy the Turkeys behind.

Well, eating your national bird doesn't quite seem right, does it? So eagle is probably better if only for that reason. And I've never heard of that connection before between eagles and Nazis, but regardless, I'm no history buff yet I'm pretty sure the eagle was our national bird before the Nazis were even a thing.

I heard that the chemical in Turkey which makes people tired is in such small quantities that it normally doesn't effect people. I imagine a small person eating a ton of turkey might feel something, but that's probably all.

I'm surprised to see someone who prefers turkey bacon over normal pork bacon. Turkey bacon is fine but pork has a much better texture imo.

Nope, the Turkey represents the value and founding of the United States.

The Eagle is a thief and besides to keep them in zoo's they have to cut their feathers. I am not kidding, I remember going in a nature zoo place and you see this big bald eagle with the wings clipped. I am asking myself, where is the plumage.

You could own a turkey as well.

Look, I love Ben Franklin's impassioned case for the turkey as much as anybody, but this isn't even *kinda* true; the eagle in the US is usually referencing the bald eagle, which is native to North America.

The "Bald" Eagle is a fictitious name and invention. They just use it like the Golden Eagle which was used for many years in Europe. Maybe they like it the idea of the Eagle "looking pure" with it's "White" top. Reality that species is found not only in the United States but "Oh-Canada" as well.
So it is not really a good representation of a fighting-bird that represents the bounty of the United States.

The Eagle is a joke. Again it looks beautiful and everything but too many lies upon lies are written about the Eagle. They play this "Oh we have to drop them off a cliff" scenario to live. That is a cartoon. The birds practice around the nest before they could fly. Most birds kick a bird from a nest when they do not have enough food or if the bird is sickly ( again a representation of Nazi-Germany ideas ).

Blazes we should be breeding Duo-do's right now. They were far more better a succulent bird that was wiped out of extinction. Everybody should be breeding Turkeys as pets. Then when it comes times we just "process them" or in times of hunger.

I don't think I particularly care for the idea of eating pets either. In times of hunger, sure, gotta do what you gotta do, but that would go for every type of animal then (if it got bad enough, which let's hope it doesn't).

United States is the bounty of the world. A brand new world. Too bad about the Native peeps, across the Americas. Too bad about the environment.

I don't know what you mean by "too bad". Indians are treated pretty well from what I can tell. An acquaintance of mine gets a ton of free money just for existing. That's pretty badass. The environment isn't in as bad a condition as environmentalists say either, but we should strive to take reasonable steps to preserve what we've got.
