As a kid, what did you think would be the 'coolest jobs' ever?

I thought it'd be super rad to be a cop, because I watched stuff like 'COPS' (the cartoon), 'Dick Tracy', and 'Lethal Weapon', and played loads of Carmen Sandiego games. Then I started watching police procedurals, 'Top Cops' and the other 'COPS' (the reality show). Now I think I can safely say that wouldn't be my bag at all.

^ Yeah, watching COPS (didn't even know there was a cartoon) will probably dissuade most kids pretty quick. Dangerous, thankless job, and lots of running.

I didn't really think much about it actually. Like any kid I guess that I thought being a video game tester would be cool. Those jobs don't just grow on trees though, and the duties don't consist of what kids think they do. I also wanted to be an ice cream man with the truck and all that, but mostly just because I figured it'd be free ice cream. I wasn't exactly an ambitious child.

^The 'COPS' cartoon was pretty much 'GI JOE', with police instead of army guys. In retrospect it was pretty goofy, but it had a sick intro sequence.

That's a heck of an intro. Doesn't get much cornier than that wink at the end though lol
