Okay, the topic returns. Luckily, I managed to dig it out of VGF history.

First off, an apology to those who I left hanging; Lots of stuff happened, and I was unable to get enough time to write a proper response to this. So I let it collect dust while school stuff died down.

Now, I'm asking for anyone who is left who would still like to play this. If there are enough, we'll pick it up where we left off. If not, I'll just cut it short and start the third installment.

OoC: I suppose I shall draw this rather short chapter to a close, then, as most of the old warriors aren’t around. We’ll finish with this, and then I’ll write up the third chapter for Christmas break. Woo. However, if more of the only ones show up (I know I can probably get Wolfos to come back), we could just continue it as I had planned.

Let’s see, I believe we left off fighting with one group against some tanks, and the other on some commandos. Or something…

Group 1:

The two remaining commandos hurriedly try to clamber back up their rappelling cords, moments before being incinerated by a wash of nuclear flames. The Black Ops commander looked at disgust at how they were being crushed by the warriors; he quickly grabbed his radio and smashed the talk button.
”We can’t hold them off! We’re pulling back to the final defense line, Make sure you’re there with a hot reception!”
”Yes sir!”
He hurriedly shut off the radio, and gave the signal to his few remaining troops. They quickly pulled out, tossing a grenade back into the stairwell before dashing down the narrow corridor.
Luigi was the first one out, catching the thrown grenade and hucking it down the hallway after the Ops troops. It flew over their heads, twirling in a graceful arc and bouncing right off of a soldier’s helmet. He saw a flash of the digital readout hitting one-half second left before it exploded, the massive blast instantly tossing the Ops left and right like rag dolls. The commander swore, even as he was tossed forward and rebounded off the floor, hitting the ground on his back. He quickly sat up, raising his pistol only to have Luigi’s sword impale him through the neck, pinning him to the concrete. He gurgled once, the pistol falling from his limp hands, before losing consciousness.
The rest of the group charged down the hall, Luigi drawing his sword from the deceased commander before following after them. They rounded the corner and came into what seemed to be a town square. Lucius drew his sword, stepping into the front of the group. He pointed towards a tall, grayish-brown building that sat on the corner,
”There. That’s the apartment that the engineer lives in. We’ll have to move fast, before-“
he was cut off by the drone of rotors, looking up just in time to see five hover-vehicles enter the square from all directions. Four were nasty-looking assault fighters, all coated in glistening black armor and having wingtips coated in missiles, with a gun resembling an Avenger cannon snugged under the nose. The fifth was a troop craft, armed with manned minigun turrets on either side of the fuselage. Rappelling cords dropped down as another massive swath of Black Ops fell from its bay, entering the square, aiming their guns towards the rag-tag group of warriors…

Meanwhile, the second group was in just as bad shape. The second tank had managed to roll its way past the burning hulk of its compatriot, unleashing a hailstorm of rockets. The barrage blew in the guard shack nearby, destroying their only cover. The warriors were forced to retreat, re-entering the building and moving through it until reaching a dead end.
"Great. Now what?" David groaned. As they looked around, Repster spotted a bright-yellow sign proclaiming "OUT OF ORDER" in front of a marble door. Smashing it apart, he found an empty repulsorcar shaft, leading far down into the building. The group hurriedly grabbed the emergency lift ropes lining the shaft, and began rappelling their way down into the building. However, as they continued down, they were suddenly fired upon by the soldiers, who had caught up with them. As they watched, more ropes dropped down from above...

Actually, they WERE repulsorcraft. I guess the 'beating rotor' part threw you off. Kinda tired when I wrote that XP. Ah well. Now we wait for someone else ta post...
