Actually it seems that just about everyone hates them cause they win so much. There is very likely a small amount of people in that category.a good percentage of yankee fans are the "OMG teh yanks are winning they are so cool" type.

It depends with baseball. If it's a close game involving at least one team that you really like, then it's one of the most intense, edge-of-your-seat experiences. But if it's between two teams you don't care about or the game is clearly one-sided, baseball loses its luster. Take this year's World Series, for instance: it's the team everyone hates vs. the team no one cares about... it's simply uninteresting to me. That, and the prospect of having a Cubs vs. Red Sox series makes this outcome a sheer let-down.
As for playing... that's a different story. I find baseball to be one of the most boring sports to play.
