^ Honeyed mead is pretty good, I've enjoyed it many times, but I think I've probably had it one too many times so the thought of the taste isn't making me happy.

Drinking has to be an "every once in a while" thing for me because my body historically hates the ****, but I'm usually pretty easy to please save for my dislike of beer. I still haven't tasted a beer yet that I didn't hate, but I'm holding out to find one someday. I can drink wine coolers but generally they're kinda boring to me. I've found myself to be more of a liquor guy, and, especially in social situations, I can usually drink whatever's available. I've found that I really like blackberry wine, it's cheap and doesn't taste like printer ink, so that's good. I also like Bailey's and stuff like that. For harder stuff, I used to be able to down whiskey easily but I had a catastrophic party one night where I drank ridiculous amounts of the **** (in three separate bad-idea flavors) and since then the idea of it makes me feel instantaneously sick. I can still do vodka, gin, tequila, rum, pretty much anything else, and I don't mind mixed drinks either, especially when they're well made.

^Try a porter some time. They are significantly less sour than the main. Very bready-tasting. I'd recommend one, only the ones I've tried seem to be regional. Okocim used to make a good one, but I haven't seen one in ages. Black Boss is pretty good. Dragon's Milk and Delirium Tremens are both outstanding, but really expensive.
Maybe a stout? Guinness is widely available. All beer snobs like that one.

Generally I'm a beer guy - I've developed a taste for IPAs (Goose Island comes to mind), and I'll gravitate toward anything related to Brooklyn Brewery...though lately I've been trying not to drink beer as much purely because I've been working on exercising a lot more and watching my intake. We'll see how long that holds up, at least.
As far as liquors I'm definitely a whiskey guy, nothing too complicated there - give me a Maker's Mark on the rocks and I'm set.

I prefers scotch to bourbon, as far as that goes. Bourbon isn't really my bag.
Favoured rum is Sailor Jerry------nice taste plus higher alcohol content? congregation says 'amen'.
Don't have a preference as vodka goes. It's all gross russian potato-water, isn't it. Like why not get the cheapest garbage available.

Ooh, special skull bottle. My nipples are all a-flutter. Or maybe I can buy the sh*tty garbage vodka, get no less tore up, and then have tons of money left over to take Maxy and River to the movies and Build-a-Bear after. Jeepers Lorenzo, which will I ever choose.

Beer
I tend to prefer hoppy beers. I really like the taste of hops...so much that I have in fact been known to eat them. They're really good for you! Malty beers are okay depending on what malts are used. I've never liked the really citrusy beers; I think the only thing you should ever put from a citrus fruit into a brew is the zest. Don't squirt a whole **** lemon in that, that's disgusting. Imperial stouts and porters are also quite nice. Especially the chocolatey ones...auuughhh.
Maryland has a lot of really good breweries, like Flying Dog. Most recently we got their sriracha pale ale (it's SO GOOD YOU GUYS) and a new dark ale that I really liked. We also have this AMAZING black IPA that I can't remember the brewer but it's in SC.
Wine
Four words for ya: Woodbridge Lightly Oaked Chardonnay. Refreshing and doesn't break the bank. I also like dry whites and semisweet reds, but I can't drink anything too sweet otherwise I'll have a massive headache. Which is actually true no matter what I'm drinking...I can't snack on anything sweet or the sugar will just ugh.
Liquor
Silver tequila is kind of my go-to. Stuff's amazing. My body just processes it really well, I guess. I also like unflavored vodkas (again, can't do the sweet ones!) I try to avoid rum, but if that's all that's around I'll drink it straight and/or not drink very much (because guess what, rum is fermented sugarcane!) Preferably golds and darks. I like most whiskeys/bourbons...I like Irish the best, but I usually drink bourbon because where I am, and where my family is, it's more available. Recently I tried this AMAZING praline bourbon, I think the distiller was Duvel? Anyway, if you like pralines and/or bourbon, stop reading here and go try it!! We've also got this delicious blackberry moonshine that combines well with orange juice, believe it or not. Occasionally I'll drink liqueur/schnapps, but not as often as I did when I was in college. Can't drink gin. I'm allergic to juniper.

I also like to use it in baking. If you've ever made bizcochos (or even know what those are!) try soaking the anise seeds in amaretto. And as for what they actually are...think of them like Mexican snickerdoodles, but not chewy. That's probably the closest American equivalent.
I cannot drink Portuguese wine bc the NYE that I was 20 I was dating a Portuguese guy and his mom had some import wines that she had given him and I didn't realize they were so strong and I had a MASSIVE HANGOVER and I'm still not over it four and a half years later.
Any of you guys apple wine fans? They're closer to wine than typical hard cider, but I think they're quite tasty. Yuengling and Guinness are the lowest I'll go on that scale. I only really drink them when I'm out, especially Yuengling because there's a couple bars around here that have them on special for anywhere from 50 cents to $2. Magic Hat's good. From an ethical standpoint, I absolutely adore Barefoot. But their sweeter wines are just way too sweet. Pretty much the only wine of theirs I can drink is the sauvignon blanc.My favorite wines so far are from Barefoot and Blackstone. I prefer red wine rather than white wine, but if I have to have white wine to go with a certain dinner then I really like the Portugese white wine Vinho Verde.

I've only had two meads. Rogue's mead is not very good. I can't remember what the other one I had was. It might have been a local distiller. I love Heavy Seas! Loose Cannon is probably my favorite of theirs :3 I remember being able to find some of their stuff in Georgia, and I could find limited Flying Dog beers as well (usually Snake Dog, the pale ale, and Raging Bitch) On the flip side, I can find Bell's in Georgia, but not here in MD.
