Look man, there's a difference between liking A and B separately, and liking them together. I like both Sonic and Fire Emblem, but together that just makes absolutely zero sense. They're not even the same genre of video game. That's like mixing Ninja Gaiden and Final Fantasy...why would you do that?

Whoever suggested that this is a fire emblem/sonic crossover should be shot. There was no mention of this.Swordmaster Link wrote:Look man, there's a difference between liking A and B separately, and liking them together. Buut SML you do know they are mixing DC Universe and Mortal Kombat as well as Soul Calibur 4 and Darth Vader/Yoda right?

Thanks for reading my post critically.Swordmaster Link wrote:Look man, there's a difference between liking A and B separately, and liking them together. ^
^ Val, I'm talking about combining their respective genre's to form one game that incorporates both. Sonic is traditionally a Platformer. Fire Emblem is a series of Strategy RPGs. Apples and oranges....fine on their own, but when combined doesn't make very much sense.
^ DC vs. MK works because, obviously, you're taking two franchises that have characters that fight villians or other heroes...so to combine the two into a fighting game makes sense. Much like the Marvel vs. Capcom games. As for SC4, while a more shoddy case, both Yoda and Darth Vader duel with light sabers in their universe, so it is entirely possible for them to be included in the game. (Even though I'm of the opinion it was stupid to include them.)

That makes sense, (Unlike your Vader/Yoda shouldn't be in SC argument)

^^Any argument against Yoda/Vader in SC4 is automatically intelligent.
So, despite being a sequel to Secret Rings, the game won't control the same? That's what I'm gathering from Sonic using the control stick to move, and the Wiimote to slash...
