Ooc: Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I haven't been paying much attention to VGF, but hey, I'm up for a battle.
I guess I'll be using Spritedude.
Sprite quietly walked up to the tower known as the Spire. It seemed to continue on forever into the sky. He knew that few who had ventured into it had come back with their lives, but perhaps that was to change today. Sprite boldly walked through the entrance, into the dim room of the first floor.
Hm, Nightshade's supposed to be here...
Sprite remembered the previous battle he had had with Nightshade that had been cut short by the supposed death of his friend, Link456. Fortunately, Link456 lived, and fully recovered with the help of Sprite. Still, Sprite never got to finish his fight with Nightshade, and was excited when he heard Nightshade wanted to finish their battle as well. So what else could he do but accept this challenge?
Sprite waited in the darkness of the first floor, waiting for his opponent, and ready for any sudden moves.

Nightshade slowly opened the door to the Spire and walked in. He was simply amazed at how vast the tower was, as it was MUCH larger on the inside than it seemed on the outside. He had heard that this very tower held great treasure beyond his wildest dreams at the top, but he couldn't care less about that right now, the only thing on his mind at the moment was the battle between him and his nemesis, Spritedude.
He remembered the last time they met vividly in his mind. The punk kept using cheap attacks on the other fighters, so Nightshade decided to take matters into his own hands and fight Spritedude himself. Unfortunately, their battle was cut short after Nightshade killed Sprite's best friend, Link456. After he killed Link, Spritedude tried to kill the trench-coated warrior by blowing up the volcano on the island where they fought. Nightshade was more than ready to make Sprite pay dearly for trying to kill him.
Nightshade then saw his opponent and glared at him. "Don't think I've forgotten what you did on that island, punk." The trench-coated warrior growled at the robot-suited youth. "I should've killed you when I had the chance. You can bet I won't make that mistake again." Nightshade then took out his crowbar and prepared for battle.

"Very well, let's do this,"
Sprite quickly changed his glove to a cannon, and pointed it right at Nightshade. He then charged up for a few seconds before firing a wide blue laser beam directly at Nightshade. Nightshade easily stepped to the side and dodged the beam, but out of nowhere, he saw Sprite in the air coming down towards him, a Omnihilt sword held over his head.
Nightshade quickly held up his Crowbar to block the blow, and their two weapons clanged together. They stood face to face, weapons locked.
"I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you'd best not underestimate me."
Sprite kicked Nightshade in the gut, knocking the wind out of him and knocking him to the floor. Sprite rocketed up with his Jet Boots, changed his OmniHilt to a javelin, and threw it straight down toawrds Nightshade.

Nightshade's eyes widened as he saw the javelin zero in on him. He knew he had to do something, but what? Suddenly, he got an idea. Right before the javelin was about to hit him, Nightshade shot his feet in the air and delivered a hard kangaroo kick to Spritedude's chest, sending him flying into the air.
Nightshade then teleported to where Spritedude was about to land and slammed his fist into Spritedude's stomach. The robot-suited youth threw his head back and clenched his teeth from the pain as blood flew out of his mouth. Spritedude then fell down onto the floor in a crumpled heap in front of a smirking Nightshade. "You'd best not underestimate me either boy, or this fight will be over as soon as it started." The trench-coated warrior growled to the unconcious Spritedude.
