Nomura-ism
So I'm just wondering how many other people here think that Advent Children is complete garbage outside the animation. Also how many people think Crisis Core, Before Crisis, and Dirge of Cerberus are all equally retarded and in the same garbage bin of creativity. I am wondering whether anyone else misses the artwork of Amano when he used to work on the Final Fantasy series, and why FFIX kicked ungodly ammounts of ass in terms of art-work. Every since Nomura has been granted more power over the FF franchise, the series has steadily been taking retarded spins into exploitative levels. The fact that Nomura is retarded is indeniable. There is nothing salvageable in the plotlines of any Final Fantasy 7 spin-off. Nothing.
And I also remember when names like Genesis fecking Rhapsodos started appearing. Genesis. Rhapsodos. What in the name of all the hells.

I think FFXIII is the last Final Fantasy that Nomura is wokring on, if that means anything.
And hey, he had nothing whatsoever to do with 12.

Very well aware of that. Else their wardrobe would include nothing but belts and they'd all be ridiculously acrobatic and Jedi during fight scenes.

I've been on but invisible for like a month. Work is killing me. Drop a line if you want but I won't be talking much.

The artwork may be exploitative, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the new final fantasy games are becoming more and more beautiful to look at. I'm not a FFVII fanboy, nor am i obsessed with the series in general. I just think that since Final Fantasy 10 that the game has become more and more beautiful to look at in terms of characters and artwork. I guess a good example would be to compare Final Fantasy 10 to Dragon Quest Swords. Both by Squaresoft, but you definitely see which has the upper hand in terms of graphics, scenary, and artwork. (not trying to dis the DBZ artist either)
You say how you are upset at how much of an effort they put into the games, but why is that such a bad thing?
I find all of Amano's artwork for males to be all too similar yet androgynous. Nomura adds variety to the people. I don't hate Amano's work (he's a great artist) but I find that the androgony factors he keeps throwing in is just something I don't like to look at. It's like Raiden from MGS2.

If you think FF10 has better artwork than FF1-6, FF9, or FF12, buddy, you're are supposed to puff-puff-pass. You are messing up the rotation.

Nomura didn't work on FF11 or FF12.
