Labyrinth - Seila

#1

Post by KirbyBoy2000 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:39 pm

You awaken on the cold stone ground, your head spinning as you lift up your body into a sitting position. Your first thought is that you must have been captured and thrown into a jailcell; but noticing the lack of door or anything keeping you within the room you rethink that.

You get up onto your feet and look around. There is a doorway ahead of you with a lit torch on either side of it. Besides it hanging on the wall from a long string is a cloth pouch. Behind you in the corner of the room is a pile of rocks of various sizes.

I'll grab as much as I can without weight taking a burden on my body. I'll take the pouch, fill it with rocks, and take the two torches if I have room to carry everything without spending energy. Heh, I may as well take the string too. Never know if that can come in handy.

Weight shouldn't be too much of a problem when carrying stuff; atleast not now when what you can carry is pretty much limited to your hands.

You grab the pouch off of the wall and tie it to your side with the string. You open the pouch and move over to the pile of rocks; there are a ton of smal rocks, a bit smaller than your hand, and a few large and heavy stones. You can fit about 10 small, 2 big, or a mix of 5 small and 1 big into your pouch. 1 big stone by itself is heavier than a lot of smaller stones.

You can grab both torches if you want, but it will use up both of your hands.

I'll fit 2 big and 10 small stones. I'll also take both torches. If something comes up I'll just discard it later. I'll enter the next room as well.

For the stones it was 10 small or 2 big. The mix would be 5 small and 1 big, which is what I'm going to guess you'll take. If not just say so and I'll change it.

You fill up the pouch with rocks, grab the two torches, and then head out the doorway. The next room is rather large, but empty. Ahead of you is a closed metal door, and to the right is another open doorway. A skeleton in gray rags lays by the wall at the left of the room. At its side is a small wooden club.

Hmm I'll drop one of the torches on the skeleton and then try and snag the club as quickly as possible.

Well, I did plan on you to have to fight it, but I was hoping it wasn't too obvious. Just needed a minor obstacle is all. For combat you're basically in the same area as the dungeon, move wherever you want and say whatever you want to do in the fight (Attack at distance, Stay on defensive, rush toward enemy, ect.)

You drop the torch onto the skeleton and grab the club as fast as you can. Its rags light on fire as you quickly move away from it. It slowly raises itself upward and begins to move towards you.

I'll drop the other torch on the ground for now and grasp the club tightly with two hands and then give it a nice whack across the upper body.

The skeleton moves towards you arms open and tries to grab at you as you drop the torch to the ground. Taking the club into both hands you swing at the skeleton's chest as hard as you can, knocking it onto its back with a loud crack. As it lands the fire on it seems to spread rapidly and soon nothing is left but a single key resting within a bed of ashes.

I'll take the key and the torch I dropped. As a standard when exploring dungeons, I must go through rooms that can be accessed without keys(assuming the metal door needs a key), so I will go through the open doorway that was on my right when I entered.

By the way, you want to sign up for that tournament in Gunjin? Lol, I'm kinda curious how this thing will be. Never did one of em before and it still needs 5 players and 2 judges.

I might join it. Part of me wants to but I don't really know, I haven't fought in a while and don't really have a new character made for it or anything.

You go through the doorway to the right. The room is similar to the one you started in. Lying against the wall is a skeleton in rags and in the center of the room is an empty bronze bowl.

Heh, rinse and repeat. I'll throw the torch at the skeleton again and hope for the best and then give him a good smashing.

I'd say be careful with throwing the torches around, its a decent attack, but its also a good way to lose a torch (or in the least put them out). One more thing, I've decided to add health for the game as well for whenever you end up in a real fight. I think it will work better than my previous idea to stuff all damage taken into Status and leave that as an estimate for health.

You throw the torch at the skeleton, which in retaliation sits by the wall unmoving for a few minutes until you come to the conclusion that its not going to attack any time soon. From its rags burning away however, you notice a hole in the wall. The torch you threw is dying down and will soon be out.

Hmm, I'll venture into the hole if it's wide enough for me and hope my torch lasts.

You push the skeleton aside and look into the hole. It looks like an incredibly tight squeeze into it for you, and doesn't reallly look like it goes anywhere. It stops after about 5 feet in, and at the end of it there is a small spade.

A spade? What do you mean? I guess I'll pick it up?

A spade, like a small shovel only one handed.

You squeeze into the hole, reaching for the spade with your arm. You struggle trying to grab at it for a few minutes and by the time you get to it the torch dies out. You pull yourself out of the hole and get up, spade in hand.

I'll approach the bronze bowl and check things out to see if it's some sort of trap.

You stumble around in the darkness until you reach the bronze bowl. You can't really notice anything about it right now.
