The Missing Link wrote:If you're so confident in your position, Miss Faerie, then why you are appealing to have people not vote for Wyborn? Weren't you the one who accused him of being Mafia earlier on in this game? Weren't you the one saying that Wyborn's fabrications and lies was reason enough to suspect that Wyborn was Mafia? I believe that was somewhere around Page 33, if I'm not mistaken.

But now, now you're asking people not to vote for Wyborn? I can certainly understand you not wanting to vote for someone, but I haven't yet figured out why you wouldn't want us to vote for someone that you've accused to be Mafia... This would be a contradiction, and it only furthers the FoS I have pointed at your brow.

But unfortunately, you cutting and pasting snippets of my post here and there, and so you missed the whole gambit that I'm following. You want people to show conclusive proof that you're evil. Well, I don't think any of us have it. But the way I see it is this:

(1) If Wy is Mafia or the Slasher, that's good for us, no?
(2) If Wy is a Townie, then I should trust him when he says that his death will point us in the correct direction.

Given that I really don't know who's who, if I had to vote, I'd have to say Wyborn isn't a bad target.

Unless you can provide a more conclusive reason why I shouldn't vote for him.

I'm tired of you accusing me of things I didn't say. I didn't once accuse Wy of being Mafia. READ MY POSTS AGAIN!!! :D

You remind me that Mafia will DEFINITELY encourage the Townie to vote off one of their own. SOLELY TO AID THE MAFIA!!!!

So... what's your explanation as to why you are so gung-ho to vote off ANYONE regardless of if you have evidence or not?

What's the rush to vote off a Townie and help the Mafia?

Why would you be so willing to negate Abstain votes? How does that help the Mafia exactly? IF you lynch me, you know what's going to happen anyway... the Mafia will HIT ONE OF YOU TONIGHT... and be thanking you in their secret little hideout for taking out a Townie for them.

Are you Mafia?

Or worse... are you the slasher??? Are you making sure you meet your win conditions by killing off Townies during the Day so you can hunt Mafia during the night?
Boy... I'm good. Page 33, right on the nose.

Well, if we want to get technical, we could say that she didn't really "accuse" so much as "inquire"... :p

Oy, I'd use "imply" rather than inquire; there's a difference between just asking a question and asking a loaded question, in this case meaning a question meant to suggest an idea.

Lady's and Gentlemen,
Townies and mafiosi,
I am proud to present Wyborn's execution theater.
A Wyborn production.

There was a great hush that fell over the gathered townsfolk as Darling stepped onto the makeshift gallows; all eyes were on him as he stepped upon the platform, looking out over them. In spite of everything, he seemed...triumphant, somehow. His eyes were clear. The only person he would not look at was Honey; neither of them made a sound.

His hands were bound behind him by his executioner, whose face he did not see. A coarse mouth was by his ear.

"Any last requests?"

"A bag for my head, please; I would not have her see my face after this."

The executioner nodded, understanding to whom he was referring, and after a few moments a black bag was slipped over his head and neck. The noose was wound over the fabric of the bag.

"Do not weep, Honey; we have already won, in a way." His voice was not as muffled as it should have been. "Stay safe for me."

The platform opened. He fell. There was a great crack, and the groaning of stretchd rope as he swung slowly back and forth.

There was no other sound.

Wyborn was the Postman, Devoted Deliveryman, Townie aligned

Goodnight, friends.

I leave you with this:

Don't take the game so seriously that you get your feelings hurt over it. This is still just a game: win or lose, the fun is in the experience, not in the results.

Have fun, guys. I look forward to playing again.

[ooc] Good night pose. [/ooc]

TML watched from atop a building as the procession towards the gallows took place. There was a distinct frown on his face, his eyes watching the scene with just a hint of scepticism. "I cannot believe it came down to this," he said to himself in a low, heavy voice. "Honestly... it's nearly a disgrace..."

As the hanging was about to occur, TML turned away from the scene, ready to return to his cottage. He'd seen enough; he'd watched more than enough. Yet worst of all, he would have to face this all over tomorrow, provided he lived through the night. With a sigh, he left the square, on his way home.

Yet as luck would have it, his mind was so wrapped in thought that he completely missed the alleyway that led straight to his place... and instead of ducking around, he continued straight, taking the long way. The long way, however, would take him right past Honey and Darling's home, and as TML passed, he paused, looking at the door. There he remained for some time, deep in thought, before finally taking the turqouise cap from his head, placing it over the doorknob, and then finally turning towards his abode, ready for sleep.

"I won't forget..."

The Bank Manager shook her head... and into the silence whispered, "What has Terminia come to when we lynch our own Townies?"
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...

Honey stayed at the square where the makeshift gallows' stood throughout the entire hanging; her arms cluched her body instinctively, as if her hands knew that her Darling would never be able to do so again.

She didn't cry, even when the body of her beloved came crashing down through the trap door with a terrible snap--her face was bleak when it remained there, swinging limply.

And when his body was finally taken down by the executioner, her features had turned resolute.

"He was innocent," she said with fevour to every townsperson that remained in the square, to every individual she could find. "He died innocent, willingly, with a cause, and with a request nobody would hear or believe."

"Will you listen now, people of Clock Town? Will you believe his words now? The Bank Manager, [read: HotD] is the one who works against the town! He warned us of her, and we must take action!"

Only when the night fell and she returned to their shop--hers alone now--did she quiet down, and bury her face in her hands.
The hills are shadows, and they flow
From form to form, and nothing stands;
They melt like mist, the solid lands,
Like clouds they shape themselves and go.

Wyborn did raise a good point. Are these days too long? It's hard to say on day one. Should I think about shortening them? What do you all think?

The first day has been very rough because there's been a lot of activity based upon so little evidence. The next IC days could be drastically different since we'll actually have some real clues to go off of. Be that as it may, days can be made artificially shorter based upon a conclusive majority vote to lynch, and I reckon that, as the evidence builds, that may happen here and there.

My hunch is that you could go with a tiered level:

Day One: 3 OOC days
Days Two and Three: 4 OOC days
Days Four and Beyond: 5 OOC days
