I'm 98.5% sure IAN is a townie - when I read his post about the evil, I knew it. I even wrote on my little notepad that he was innocent, because he had the EXACT wording (this, incidentally, was before anyone else posted after ian). It's just a matter of whether or not TML knew that, too...

Daos: I'm not really thinking about how I'm coming across... if I were, I would have shut up a long time ago, so as to not make me a target of the night's hit. But I'm trying my best to find the baddies - I'm posting my best theories, and trying to see if they fit in anyway. I'm not going to deny I'm trying to earn trust - WE ALL ARE. I'm trying to show everyone how I'm NOT mafia - Hottie said it best last time, letting actions speak out. I'm trying my best to act, to come up with plausible reasons and answers for everything, and cover every aspect I can think of.

I love how much more active everyone is this time. On Day 1 alone we are up to 15 pages. We DO need to find out who to trust ZG, that way we can work together instead of seperatly much as was done in the last game.

I'm not going to retract my FoS on TML. It's that whole thing about mistakes... it was a mistake "forgetting" the rules and posting the picture, but how innocent of a mistake was it? TML has made several tonight...

So let me provide the best explanation that I can. If it makes me suspicious, well... so be it, I guess.

My experience with the Mafia game before this was that Wiki' post that I quickly posted yesterday in response to the accusations against Wyborn. I was reading most of it, and so it stuck in my mind that the Townies' win condition was to defeat the Mafia. When I got the Role PM on Sunday, it said we had to defeat evil. Without even thinking there was a Slasher, in my head, the words "defeat evil" became "defeat the Mafia". Once a Slasher got thrown into the mix, well, I really didn't go back to reread the PM that Crav sent me with the precise wording of the win condition.

Beyond that, I was at work when all of this discussion was going down, so I really didn't spend the extra effort to make certain that my assumptions about the win condition were exactly the ones that were PMed to me.

It's not a God-given alibi. However, that's the story as it stands. FoS me if you don't like it. X)

1. TML, if you knew the town's objectives, why did you pretend you didn't?

2. NintendoGod: Why aren't you posting? Every time I see you one the "Who's Online" list you are viewing this topic.

Though, yeah, what ^ said, why pretend you didn't know the objectives? Again, you WANT to convince the townies that you are one of them. Why say the opposite.

iam: It wasn't pretending, as per my last post. You might say I had a misunderstanding of what the actual objective was.

ZG: I guess you could say I started the game with the wrong strategy. Crav's warning about RPing your role was something I made good careful consideration to follow, but I took that to mean that you shouldn't broadcast your alignment as well. Thus, claiming something that was Townie-specific didn't really occur to me.

Chalk it up to experience, I guess.

EDIT 2: For what it's worth, broadcasting that you're a Hero or Mafia is certainly bad news. My initial hunch was that doing the same as a Townie was going to be just as detrimental.

^ Fair enough, ZG. I'd say the number of fowl ups I've done tonight more than merit it. X)

^There's a fine line between TOO much info. However, because the mafia has a general idea about how are the townies (anyone who isn't them can be considered not on their side, so a potential target), it's best to make clear to your fellow townies that you are one of them without labelling yourself unnecessarily.

^I understand. I myself have been feeling out of sorts, saying things I've regretted afterwards and misreading things and having to go back. I chalk it up to finals week - the week from HELL!
