^Balthier's guns always did a lot for me - depends on what you have equipped to go with it.

People, Balthier's not a good gunman.

Yes, he's the default, but he's actually the slowest in the game at using a weapon that does a fixed amount of damage.

Incidentally, Fran is the worst bow user.

You'd be better off switching them up.

I'd only give Balthier a gun if I had him Berserked, Hasted, and Brave'd.

They give you some hints at the start (Penelo's stats favour a magic user, while Balthier's quicker) but thanks to the license board, stats don't matter...they're all going to be super-powerful.

Fran's a friggin' bunny girl. What's cool about THAT? She doesn't eat carrots and say "Eh, what's up, doc?" -CSM

After not playing this game for months I finally picked it up again about a week ago.

In the main story I just got done going to the Great Crystal. I decided after that to go pursue more side quests.

I LOVED the Gilgamesh battle.

By the way, Balthier uses guns on my file as well and I have had no problem.

I have everyone at about level 40 right now. Balthier has the heaviest damage per hit (watch the actual damage, not the attack rating) and doesn't draw any aggro away from whoever I have set as the tank.

Due to school, it's been a while since I've played, but I got B-Squared, Ashe, and Basch all to level 99, whereas the others are only at 70... :o

I'm mad, because I just need that stupid Zodiark Esper, and a few mark hunts to go.

Yeah

Good luck beating the Hell Wyrm and Yiazmat. I mean it. You'll need it.

And...you have beaten the campaign, of course?
