Well, That Makes Five...

#1

Post by Codiekitty » Thu Oct 09, 2003 6:22 pm

It started out an ordinary day. I get up, eat breakfast, watch Petsburg, USA on Animal Planet... then I go out to load my books into the car. I start hearing a meowing. I thought it was one of our cats, but it keeps getting louder. I turn and se something flying at me. It was a gray and white... no longer a kitten, but not quite a cat, but I'll call it a "cat". The cat starts rubbing me, and I go to pet it. But it keeps staying close to me, and now I become afraid. Afraid that the cat will jump in the way of the car as we're leaving. I had to hold the cat while my mom pulled out, put the cat down, and run to the car then jump in. We then saw kitty roadkill on the way to school :( Poor thing still had its eyes open...

Sorry to make a joke about it, but when my first period teacher let whoever was there into the class (there's only five people who show up early, I'm one of them. The rest are coming in as the bell's ringing), she asked how everyone was this morning. I didn't say anything about the live cat, just "I saw kitty roadkill today". She said "Who's Kitty Roadkill?" One of the guys in the class says "It's a cat that got hit by a car... although that would be a cool name to have." This is what happens when you have to wake up at about five in the morning (the teacher. I have to wake up at six).

First period, nobody did their homework. Even I forgot all about it. But I had a homework pass, so I used that. The teacher kept making jokes about it (she didn't scold us directly), but I couldn't stop thinking about the cat... wondering if my mom accidently squished it on the way home. And the image of that dead kitty wouldn't leave my mind.

The rest of school goes as usual, only at the end I had a fright about my English textbook (I carry it around because my backpack is too damn full for it). I left it in one of my classes, but thankfully I got it back.

On my way home in the car, my mom tells me we're probably keeping the cat. The cat stayed on our lawn the whole day. And she tells me my brother said during the night he heard a car pull up, a door open then close, and then a cat start meowing. This poor kitty was appearantly dumped off. Surprisingly, my brother wanted this one. I said it was fine, as I just got a kitten. I told him the only thing I didn't want him to do was name it "Nermal" (he thought about naming it that). Okay, one of our other cats is called "Arlene". But I don't like Nermal.

I've only had Sukie for two weeks... wonder why my other cats think of this.

By the way, the other cats are:

Simba - A brownish tabby cat (guess where he got the name from). The first cat we ever got intentionally (from Petsmart). Got him in 3rd grade as a "Good Grades" gift. Very laid back until you bring another cat into the house.

Einstein - A black cat with a white spot on his chest. We got him for Halloween the same year we got Simba He's been pigging out on Sukie's food lately, and is getting kind of fat. Loving, but runs from anything new.

Arlene - This one was a surprise. My dad got her for me as a surprise. Her bottom half is white, her top half is a mix of black and brown. Came from the pound. Probably the prettiest cat we have, and, other than Sukie, is the only one that goes into our cat tower.

Sukie - That kitten I made that one topic about. Dark brown and black, missing half her tail. Came from my brother's neighbor whose husband wouldn't let her keep this one. A bundle of energy.

Hmm...poor kitty. My old cat ran away. But I still have a cat I picked up as a stray when I found it in Hawaii. Also, my dog was just put to sleep :(

I hit a bird the other night. I was driving home, and the thing decided to fly straight ahead instead of swerving to the side of my truck. I guess you could say I rear-ended him. Ahahaha.

We got rid of my cat a few months ago. Why? Because it peed my pants. I kid you not. The thing took a friggin' leak on my pants. I was pissed.

Ow. I feel sorry for the kitty.....
On a lighter note, name the cat "Cat Sith" :D

Simba, Einstein, and Arlene are fixed. My mom thinks it's disturbing to have every animal in the house fixed, and we're still trying to figure out what this new one is (if it's a boy and fertile, we'll need to fix either this one or Sukie)

:( Sorry. Did he/she have something?

You're mean. Arlene once relieved herself on my pants on the way back from the vet, but we didn't give her away.

I never saw a animal run over. But I saw dead animals in my pool. They were a crow, a lizard, and a possum.

I saw a dead mole with it's guts hanging out on my front lawn, this weekend. I can understand why, since my cat goes outside and hunts. But seriously. It was so gross... The guts were laying there, and the mole was on it's side. The guts vanished yesterday, and the mole was laying on its back with half of the skin on it's face gone.

Outside of my old school, there was this big blue tank of something. I never found out what was in it, but it must have been harmful. On a bus ride to school one day, I noticed the corpse of a squirrel flat on it's stomach on top of the tank with it's head inside of the tank. Every subsequent day, the squirrel shrank. By the end of the month, it was a squirrel pancake. Somebody removed the body eventually. For the rest of the year I wouldn't dare go near that tank. Luckily I don't go to school there anymore!
