Mario Sunshine Oddities

#1

Post by Who Likes Cheese? » Mon Apr 21, 2003 9:21 pm

I've noticed some weird things in Super Mario Sunshine, both in Pinna Park.

Oddity #1: In Shine Sprite #8, "Roller Coaster Balloons," talk to the Pianta father next to his kid near the bridge leading to the roller coaster. Talk to the father and you will notice he does NOT sound like a Pianta. More like a Noki, if you ask me.

Oddity #2: Any Shine Sprite. Talk to the little Noki girl in pink on the Yoshi-Go-Round and you will notice she sounds like Donald Duck.

When you're on one of those tippy things, and you run against it so that your on the edge but gravity tries to make you go the other way and you keep doing the "almost fall off" thing? I sware, how much dust can there be on a friggen' mirror?

Ever notice how small that FLUDD tank is? How can so much water be sprayed from something so small?

ok, that FLUDD remark are just taking it too far. This is an IMAGINARY game, it's not supposed to be entirly real. So what if FLUDD can't really hold that much water? Since when do water pumps, mushrooms, seashells, sunflowers, turtles, and dinosaurs talk and have a mind of their own in the first place? I don't know about you, but I like to play video games because they escape from reality, not because they're realistic or that I can relate to them. The fact that almost any situation in a video game (excpet for the sports games) cannot really happen is what many people play them for. If people are going to look for mistakes in games, look for glitches, not realism.

If Mario falls off of a cliff and starts to scream, but hits the ground early he will still be screaming while he's on the ground. This glitch is also present in SM64.

Sorry JinxieClown, but I found the tank thing a bit odd, and this is an oddities topic.

Jump onto one of the carts on the RIGHT side of the ferris wheel. Don't forget, the RIGHT side! I spent a full HOUR trying to get onto a left-side ferris wheel, but could never catch it. ;)

Edit: Just in case you get confused about which side is Right, jump onto a cart that's going upward.

But where the heck is that right side? The ferris are to fast to catch! And the one who is in test I can't get it! Show me a pic or something...

You see the big electric koopa on top of the wheel? In the animation?

Guess what you have to do.

Get to the highest point possible across from the ferris wheel. It might take a few tries, but you can hover through it onto the structure behind.
