No. I do believe in "Damn she's fine" at first sight, but not actual love.

Without any doubt, yes. I firmly believe in love at first sight. Why? Because... it's happened to me.
Love is one of those things that come when you're least expecting it. It is something that you can't force upon yourself and you can't search for. The more you look for it, the harder it is to find it. Rather it searches you out, coming to find you when you least expect it, and when you find it, it is some of magical beauty, an amazing miracle blossoming within your hands.

^Or something that depresses the hell out of you and makes you wish that it had never come to you because you know you'll never get her.
Sorry, I couldn't resist . Hehe.
Seriously, let's not forget that love is very much a double-edged sword. You're only focusing on one of its facets. It can be both very good and very bad. You're talking about it like it's pure goodness, and at times it is, but at other times it, well, sucks.
I would agree with you on the fact that you find it in the most unexpected places, though. Can't argue with that. Frankly, I have never had any interest in the popular girls who get banged like an African drum. Even though you'd expect people to drool over girls like those, I don't. I tend to find love in girls that are not only pretty, but also interesting and down-to-earth.

It is a double-edged sword, yes, but without it, then what is life really worth living for?

Perhaps my vagueness is going to kill me for it some day.Originally posted by Benitora Kage Boushi:
Well, life isn't based on relationships,no matter how good or bad,in my opinion. While humans are naturally social, there are plenty of things to live for other than that.If we are simply born to find a 'soul mate',and that's the only thing worth living for, life would be pretty worthless,in my opinion.
I'm talking about love in a very abstract sense. Love is built from emotion, and emotion is derived from our wants, and our wants are built upon our hopes and dreams. Perhaps I'm very naïve even at my age, but... people who decide to go nowhere in life are in general not as happy as those who have have a direction to go, even if they aren't moving.
Love -- no matter the context, whether it be relationships, friendships, hobbies, passions, religion, anything -- is perhaps one of the most fundamental cores to our soul.
