It's a movie and a video game. Most will say the game is based on the movie, but in reality the two were released simutaneously and it's unknown which is based on which, and there is evidence for each of them being the original. Neither were ever released in America. While plans were made to release the game, the censorship proved itself to be totally impossible. As for the movie, haven't a clue. The game was, however, dumped into ROM format, fan translated, and is playable in America via emulation.
