Haha, very good. Now I want to attempt Tolkien again. Hmmm...

It ended like 5 times. I was like, "Ok now..."

I'm personally happy that it ended like that. Think of it this way: This isn't just the ending of RotK, but of the whole trilogy. Its got a lot to wrap up, and I'm glad they did it the way they did. I was completely satisfied.

Yeah dude, it was 3.5 hours and still didn't TOUCH the book. Stop crying. What else did you have to do? OH WAAAAH! THE MOVIE WAS TOO LONG! I'm sorry that you, as well as the rest of the country (the true target of this post) are too spoiled by the barely over 90 minute crap that hollywood has pumped out like sewage into the theatres of the world. Sorry, people still would have went to see LotRs in droves even if the studio HADN'T imposed final cut run limits on the film.

Doc Ock looks like the character and costume designers were watching the matrix too much.

Mask = ok. Mask 2 = uberlame.

Scouring should have at least been shot for the DVD.

My parents thought the ending was too long... bah to them.

That movie ended about 6 times, and still didn't end. I LOVED the Scouring, but... it would've messed up the flow of the movie.

All right. I liked FotR, but I didn't like TT too much. I was sure that I would hate Return of the King, and just wanted to see it to see how badly they screwed it up.

I was pleasantly surprised.

I absolutely LOVED Gimli and Legolas ("That still only counts as one!"), and the way they did the whole destroying the Ring thing was awesome. I seemed to remember Gollum falling over on his own, but the way they did it worked better for a movie.

Someone in the theatre started crying when Frodo "died"... both times.

NO ONE got the Eagle reference... bah. People need to read the Hobbit.

It seemed to me as if everything was happening at the same time in that movie, but that's really okay -- that's the best way to do a movie.

I must admit that I got chills when I saw Frodo grin evilly and say "The Ring is mine."

"Clever little hobbits, to climb up so high!!!"

The Hobbit rocks. Peter Jackson needs to make a Hobbit movie after he's done King Kong dammit.

Is it just me, or did they cut out the part where Gandalf faced down the Witch King? That part would've been damned COOL to see on the big screen.

It'll probably be in the EE. I read that Peter said it'll be at least 4 hours and 50 minutes long(HOLY SH*T!).

PJ has also expressed interest in making a Hobbit film after King Kong, so that's something to look forward to.

That's one thing that made me a little upset - I thought Tolkien was too good of a writer to have everything work out so damn perfectly. I was waiting for someone to die *coughFRODOcough* or something to go wrong. But nooo. Bah.

Revolutions, on the other hand...

I'm still waiting for a movie where everyone's all "Yay, we slayed the evil dragon!!! The world is saved!!!", then a nuke hits and kills them all.

They left out the part at the Black Gate where that Ringwraith shows the army of men the stuff they swiped from Frodo. I liked that part, 'cause at that point they think it's all over.
