5) Leap into Heroism - Secret of Mana. In the beginning, the Hero (well, he falls, but isn't it close enough? ^^0) "leaps" into a waterfall, then into his role as a hero after he pulls out the Mana Sword which caused an imbalance in the Mana ties, causing monsters to appear in the once-peaceful land.
15) A Fight to Remember - Final Fantasy 8. When someone is junctioned to a Guardian Force, they start to lose their memory the longer they are junctioned to the GF. Junctioning themselves to the GFs caused the main characters to lose a lot of their memory and caused them to fight without knowing who or what they were fighting (*coughlikeEdeacough*).
