2 people have to be dead before Ruby buries its claws and isn't invincible anymore. Didn't know that? Well you do now
.Attempt 1:
I W-Summon Hades and KotR. Hades paralyzes it, in case you didn't know. I mime it two times, and then Ruby comes out of the paralyze and casts Ultima, its response to KotR. I have about 2,000 HP left. Dammit, why did I forget to pair up HP Absorb with KotR? I hope he dies in 3 more turns. He doesn't, and casts Ultima again. I later discover that if I had gotten 1 more turn, I would've beaten it. Cloud casts Phoenix as a Final Attack, revives Barret and Vincent. I'm hoping he'll be able to go on with the miming, but he mimes Phoenix. Dammit. I press reset.
Attempt 2: Start again, this time I take off my Ribbon and put on some Sprint Shoes, and I pair up HP Absorb with KotR. W-Summon, mime twice, Ruby comes out of its coma. This time one of its claws attack but they don't do much damage and I don't worry anyway because I've got HP Absorb and I don't need the MP that it's absorbed and - what are those numbers counting down above Cloud's head? You've gotta be kidding me!!! But I can't defend, because it would mess up the mime, and I've only got one Hades. Needless to say, I die. Then I repeatedly bash my head against a wall for being killed by possibly THE most easily avoidable attack in the whole damn game.
Attempt 3:
I cast Death Force at the beginning of the fight. Bastard won't get me now! The claw attacks me, timer starts, and nothing happens when it reaches 0. HAHA! After I hit him with the W-Summon three times, Ruby Weapon uses Ruby Ray. A measly 3,000 damage. HAHAHA! You pathetic scum! I've got you n - wait a minute. Why is Cloud turning round and round as if he were confused? AAAAAARRRGH!!! For once in my life I take off Ribbon and this happens! I'm hoping he won't kill himself, but thanks to my precious Ultima Weapon and my pride and joy, the maxed out 255 strength stat, he deals a perfect 9,999 on himself. Crap.
Attempt 4: This time I equip Ribbon. I can get the Haste from Big Guard, plus it'll get me some shields. I cast Big Guard and then Death Force, but after I do that Ruby somehow manages to kill me. No worries, I've got Phoenix on Final Attack, which also revives the other characters so Ruby won't just direct its attacks on Cloud. It uses Ruby Ray on Barret. Barret is confused, and kills off Vincent, and I use W-Summon. Then Barret attacks Cloud. Idiot. No worries, KotR will heal me. I press Mime and Cloud hits and kills himself like the moron he is. *sigh* A confused Barret is left all by himself against a paralyzed Ruby Weapon with over half its HP left that will come back to life in about three turns.
Attempt 5:
I equip a Peace Ring on Barret and Vincent. I am now completely immune to everything!! Yes, to everything... except my mom telling me to turn it off cause it's 11PM already. Dammit.
Attempt 6:
Next morning, Cloud casts Death Force and Big Guard, and he isn't killed at the beginning, and I'm still immune to all its attacks. After 1 W-Summon and 6 Mimes, Ruby Weapon dies. YAY! Now as for Emerald Weapon... er... let's just pretend I beat it, ok?
