RPG of teh Week 7/17: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!

Personally, I'mm not a big fan of this game. I like Zelda, but this felt like Nintendo was milking the money cow (as we all know, money doesn't grow on trees, but it comes out of cows' utters.). Still, is it weren't for this game, all of the Zelda clones would lack the lock-on system, an would suck more than usual. Hooray for Zelda!

-A Genius (There's a lot of arguments over whether Zelda is an RPG or not. Me, I don't care. And don't post the link to that one article, (you know which one I'm talking about). That article is flawed.)

^Except those aren't RPGs. Nice try Carter.

It's not overrated; it was a great, landmark game. Look at what standards it set. Look at what it DID. Nintendo couldn't have been doing it for money because it was a new idea that was never tried before.

Of course they wanted a profit, but what game isn't like that? OoT wasn't JUST for money because it wasn't based off of anything. MM was more of a money-grabber because it lived off of the popularity and success of OoT. Another example is Pokemon GSC, which only was so popular because of its hype and predecessors.

A totally awesome game. I loved the unique enemies, the side-quests of which I completed all of them, blahblahblah... inspired my love of gaming back to dizzy heights... :D
