Summoning Wyborn (the fun and easy way)
Well, this is really simple. I'd like to be able to participate in fights without any real commitment to its continuation - meaning at most I'd like to be able to come in, post once or twice, and leave. This isn't as satisfying as a whole battle, of course, but sometimes it's nice to write something like that, that can affect the outcome of a battle, without having to worry about doing it a dozen more times.
My answer to this conundrum is the topic you are now reading.
Anyone who wants to - anyone who signs up in this topic, basically - can hereby summon me in a battle. The way it works is like this.
Step 1. You fight somebody.
Step 2. You decide you need an attack with a lot of umph but don't have the creative energy/time to come up with one yourself.
Step 3. You post your character performing a summoning ritual - technological, magical, whatever.
Step 4. You send me a PM letting me know you're doing the summoning.
Step 5. I make a post in which one of my characters enters, unleashes an attack, and leaves.
It's just that easy! You summon, I post, I leave, you dance around. It's like summoning a monster in Final Fantasy.
Now in order for this to be fair there has to be a trade-off - so the ritual has to involve something that drains your character, magically or physically or spiritually or whatever, you have to end up worse at the end of it than when you started. The trade-off is necessary and the benefit is obvious, and I will try to be as impressive as possible. Of course, this could only be done once per battle, but it will be cool anyway. The greater the sacrifice made in the ritual, the more powerful the attack will be, so keep in mind that you can be as precise as you want in terms of how hard you want me to hit the other person.
I will make a list at the end of this post! Who wants in on this?
Registered Summoners:
1. Selene Starblade
2. Galefore
3. MC Mushi Mo
4. Ultimategamer
5. Master Seymour
6. Erdawn
7. Firestorm
8.

Now, see, this I'm definitely in on.
I can't count the number of times I've accidentally stagnated a battle because I couldn't devote the time neccessary to make a post to my own standards, or was on a brief dry spell of imaginativeness. I am definitely in here, though I'm going to be trying to keep summonings to an absolute minimum.
I look forwards to the results of this attempt to 'lubricate' the battle system. Hopefully, this will help work towards fully revitalizing the Gunjin. ^_^

Awesome idea. In fact, I don't mind if you slap me on that thar list. I plan to utilize this sparingly, as it is kind of a Deus Ex Machina, but it should be fun to just randomly say "Okay, that's it, I'm bringing Wy in on this. Prepare to suffer."
Damn, two great services invented in one day. Awesome.

Under what name? MC Mushi Mo? Kefka Palazzo?
And....I guess we'll never know until somebody gets it in his or her head to try.

Watch yourself, buddy. I'm not afraid to kick my ass.
And every summoning won't necessarily use one of my characters, but I guarantee it will be tailored specifically to the battle at hand.

I think the amount of fights between Galefore and I in which that happened easily numbers in the thousands.Sarai and Samiel wrote:I can't count the number of times I've accidentally stagnated a battle because I couldn't devote the time neccessary to make a post to my own standards, or was on a brief dry spell of imaginativeness.

A woman with a briefcase walks in, pulls out a chair from hammerspace for herself and Wyborn and sits down.
"Hello, Mr. Wyborn. I would like to talk to you on behalf of my client, Ms. Chance." She hands Wyborn a business card. "My name is Mrs. Lucent, I am Mrs. Chance's lawyer."
She gets out a pillow for the back of the chair.
"My client would like your services, as a summon for her deck. Her offerings would be moving cards to the out of play zone, or her current lifepoints." she pulls out some tea and sips it, offering a cup to Wyborn. "She would be here herself, but she is a bit tied up at the moment, and her opponent would not care for her leaving the battle to get something"
She pulls out a table and places it between them.
"So will you allow my client to add your summon to her deck Mr. Wyborn?" she hands him a blank card "All you have to do is sign it at the top."
