Sonic and the Secret Rings
I had the chance to play this through the first couple of levels, and let me say, the control scheme takes some getting used to, but it works pretty well.
The basic structure: there's about 20-ish missions for each level, akin to the 5 missions for each level in SA2, in that you go through a section of the course, trying to do a certain thing. And some of them are damn hard. Then, in most levels, at the end, there is a boss battle.
The story's kind of stupid, but I digress. The cutscenes are done like they were illustrations on an old book, which added a nice touch to the game.
Overall, I'd recommend picking this up if you were lucky enough to get a Wii.

The control scheme is fun. The game's main problem is how everything is broken up into bite-size segments. I prefer a game like Heroes or Shadow where I can start a gameplay session and I won't see any menus or anything until my gameplay session is done. In Heroes, I go to Story and pick a stage. I play that stage, then the game automatically gives me the next one, and the next, and so on; Secret Rings spits you back onto a menu and you have to choose from a staggering list of missions for every 30 seconds of gameplay you take.
That said, it's a good sign if the game's main problem isn't with its gameplay.
