I accept ye challenge.
I will enter this challenege with my first entry in the Gunjin, Traiborn.
The wisened old wizard was out for a bit of a stroll, he did this quite often. He simply walked about(invisible) and observed the daily routines and activities of others. He was feeling rather frisky today, his urge to wander far from his domain gave him the courage to wander over great mountains and even wide seas. His journey soon took him to what seemed like a small mountain. His memory of mountains told him that this mountian was none other than the Crown of Kings(known for its round surface and tall stone towers that encircle it, it was almost unimagineable that this was a completely natural occurrance) and he sensed that a great magical entity was near.
"What power... I must know its origin."

Walking the the very quite Forrest, looking for a sacred item, Affliction who had become very accustomed to hard fights, and long troublesome situations, and even loved to fight all in all, was ready to fight who ever he had to, to get his item. The woods were quite enough that you could here a few animals fighting in the distance and even a few owls, hooting as owls do. Affliction knew something would happen, because it was a full moon ahead of him, and the sky was very clear. All of the great star formations could be seen, and he was ready to accept his fate, what ever it may be.
Up a head, Affliction noticed some one talking, it sounded like that had said something along the lines of "I must know" and that was all he was able to catch. He didn't know why there had been anything in these woods, especially at this time of night. He ducked behind a tree, and looked ahead. He saw nothing. "what the" he said to him self. He looked all around the woods in search of what had talked. And he come to the decision that his mind was just playing tricks on him. He sighed and stood up, and walked ahead.
He would not lie to him self, Affliction was a bit freaked out. But he still continued forward into to mountains. He was walking ahead quite slowly. But something moved, he could here some branches crack, so he jumped to a tree to take cover to what ever would be in the woods. HE wanted to know. Affliction was quite happy with this as well. He wanted a fight, as he had not had a good one in a while. "come out come out, where ever you are" he said, in an insulting way. "Time to meet your maker" he continued with a smirk, but just than he was hit by something that slung him to the ground, he hit the ground hard enough to bounce a few inches in the air. He drew his sword, the sword of Sahiro, and a flame enraged the blade. "what the hell he said!"
OoC: it was hard to make an intro for somehthing invisible.

Traiborn didn't take insults lightly. That enchanted boulder should have told this nave what for... but it wasn't that easy. He sensed that this was indeed where the magic power was eminating... Traiborn could tell from looking at this creature that it was slightly out of its wits. Traiborn decided to play with his senses.
A bolt of lightning. Yes, a bolt of lightning in the middle of a clear night would be just the thing to frighten just about anyone. He conjured the magic that would do the deed, then sent it(in the magical equivalent of a remote bomb) over past a yonder tree. He would use this little distraction later.
"Ooohhh... I have fallen from the grasp of life... please give yours to ME!" groaned a gostly apparition that appeared in front of Affliction. He immediately decimated the simple summon. He could hear mocking laughter coming from behind a tree, the area became permiated with smell of death.
"Combination worked perfectly."

Growing angry at the fact that he was being mocked by something, apparently up in a tree, Affliction threw him self towards the tree, and slid the fiery blade right through it, and the tree slid off it's base, and trampled. He heard something jump from the tree onto some other tree, than another. Affliction knew he would have to use his ears for this, because he realised what ever it was, he could not see it. He heard a groan up ahead, from something and ran ahead, the blade of Sahiro at his side, a fire. "I can mess with magic to!" he yelled after realising that who ever it was, had sermoned the ghost. "I'm sure I'm brighter than you think".
Two hands slid together causing friction, and a small spark, that led to an entire bolt, that led to a large flash that lit up the entire area, he could still see nothing, but he was sure he had blinded what ever it was he was chasing, as he heard the sound of some one hitting the ground. "I can control all aspects of the weather, that includes positive and negative neutrons that can create a bolt of lighting, and that can spread" he said, not even knowing who he was in fact talking to.
"well than lets see what you can do against this" Said the voice that Affliction could not tell what was. He walked forward as he heard the invisible thing get up. "Come on you coward, why don't you show your self, Are you too afraid of my great power?" he continued. Affliction grinned and kept walking, but at the last second he felt his feet being grabbed out from under him. He slid his hands together again the the positive and negative neutrons coming together, and making a bolt he had apparently hit something. The bolt was not as powerful as it could have been, because the sword he held, it was taking up a majority of his hand.
Already the warrior Affliction could tell that this fight would end not as good as it could, and that the fight would result in death. But he still decided to continue on. And to risk it all, for something he knew little about. He also hoped that he could learn a litlle somthing about the item he was looking for along the way.

Traiborn wasn't very fond of hopping, especially when he couldn't keep hopping. The ground was definately not the safest place to be... then again trees aren't the best place to be either when you're studying something that controls fire and lightning. The first bolt was equal, if not greater to, the bolt he had stashed behind what would soon be the last tree in the area. He needed to do something, maybe a more direct approach.
"So you've grasped a hold of magic?" said a confident Traiborn. This revealed his position. Immediately this was followed by scorching blasts and scalding swipes from his opponent's sword. Splatters of red where everywhere, it was as if Traiborn had disintegrated at the touch of Affliction's blade, and in a way, he had. He then reintegrated on top of one of the famed stone towers of the Crown of Kings.
"Very good, but a tad slow." Traiborn was getting too big for his britches. The stone tower(which seemed to be solid) was instantly cleaved in two by the blade of Sahiro. Traiborn was now on the ground again, this was getting rather tedious.
"Still not showing yourself you... whatever you are!?" said an angry Affliction. He was determined to discover just what in the hell he was fighting.

"No one has purposely angered me in a fight, and lived!" shouted out the fighter that was in affliction. "You should not have gone this far, it will surely be your end" he continued. He than heard Trailborn jump on a rock, that was part of the giant base of the mountain. He looked up at the huge climb, that one of the fighters would soon have to face. "Don't you start to climb with out me!" shouted the raged Affliction, and he chanted something so quite, nothing could here it. All of a sudden a small gust came, and it grew stronger and stronger, eventually all the trees were blowing back and forth, far enough so that it would seem that the trees would uproot with the ground, and fly in the air.
The opposing fighter Trainborn grabbed onto a large slab of rock for his life, and hung on to it dearly. Large branches were flying in the air, and even some small trees were flying up. Affliction grew tired, his fatigue shrugged down, as the spell took a bunch of strength to use, especially the wind as powerful as he got it. Trailborn who was basically in air because of the power fell to the about 10 feet to the ground, knocking the breath out of him. Just for a few moments. But Affliction fell to his knees, and quickly his fatigue started to come back. "I told you I was stronger" Affliction whispered, this was not heard.
As his fatigue restored, Trailborns breath returned, and he raised to the ground. He was quite angry for the first time in the fight. "do you hate every one?" asked the thing that appeared to be a voice to Afflicition. "yes, I hate the world" answered Affliction, "I shouldn't have to go into detail why" continued Affliction "because if I did, I would have to kill you slowly and painfully, remember that I'll keep your death, at least medium, and with a bit of pain, you don't want what I could do.
"If you say so" said the voice, in a cocky tone. Affliction returned to his feet. "why don't you show yourself!?!? you coward!" he said. And he ran forward, jumping onto a rather large bolder, and up onto another, making fast ground up the mountain. he decided that it was his turn to attempt to try and climb the top. "HA!" he yelled out, and traiborn became angry once more. Affliction raised the great blade up, and prepared for what ever might strike him.

Oh snap... all my posts have had my character's name as a starting word...
Nothing was happening. All was quiet and still. Affliction was at the top of one of the stone towers, puzzled.
"Have you given up? Are you really the coward I know you are!?" These words were followed by more silence. Affliction didn't believe for a second that Traiborn had gone, although he had absolutely no idea where he could be.
"...scale of dragon........... fist of imp....."
Affliction heard that much, and prepared himself for an attack. He was ready to block in all directions, upwards, sideways, back, front, he was ready for all hell to break lose. If only he knew what was about to take place.
Now, when one thinks of an explosion they think of fire and shrapnel, right? I'm pretty sure that when you think of an explosion, you don't immediately assume that the lake next door to your domain has just been flung into the air. Affliction didn't assume this either, that is until he heard the deafening roar of the millions of gallons of water that were right above him. The flow that followed toppled not one, but all of the stone towers, leaving not but a bald mountain top, a warrior, and a wizard who had just exhausted almost every ounce of his spell components.

A weakened battler Affliction hit the ground hard, with the ton of water, but there was nothing he could do. A large lake at literary hit him from atop, so as he was under the newly great body of water he grabbed on to a boulder for dear life, he remained under until all of the water rushed down, out of the mountain. He fell off the rock and hit the ground, gasping for breath. He had not expected this at all, and he did not like that it had happened. "DAMN!" he yelled with the little energy that was left, he knew he would have to find time to restore his fatigue, but he would not seem to be able to get it.
"Why don't I just kill you now?" said a bitly more weakened fighter in Trailmore. "because you cant" replied Affliction. There was a small silence after that as both the fighters needed an ounce more energy than the other. Affliction stood up, and stared at what he now realised could not even possibly be human, and he knew that the figure had had most of it's power weakened right out of him. He could now see a tint of color in what appeared to be eyes, apparently what ever enchanted item Trailborn had, it was damaged in some way.
"An enchanted item eye?" Said the fighter in Affliction. "how did you know" replied the magically tired Traiborn, "I can see your eyes" said Affliction, than Trailborn gasped. "no! you cant! you lie!" he looked down at his boots to see what he could only see, and saw that they were in fact worn down a bit, and had lost some of its enchantment. "you'll have to fix that enchantment" said Affliction.
The fighter that was left in Trailborn sighed. It would do Affliction little good that he could see a tent of eyes, the eyes were small, and were hard to see, this fight would still have to use his hearing. Than Affliction realized that he would indeed need to try to damage the item more, whatever it may have been, as only trailborn knew what the item was that he was wearing. "Fine, it will still do you no good!" yelled out the Trailborn who jumped away, Affliction could tell that he had jumped away.

Ooc: Trailmore? Trailborn?
Now this was a bit of a pickle. Traiborn was indeed down to the last of his spell components, and his enchantment on his boots were wearing down due to the massive amount of magic that had been used in close vicinity. He was a safe distance away, far enough away that he decided to move on the offensive.
*WHAP* a rock hit Affliction on the side of the head, this did little damage, and served only to give Traiborn's position away. Affliction took this chance to try and spot Traiborn
"Throwing rocks? What are you, a child?" Affliction swung his sword in the direction that the rock was thrown, and it seemed that it at least caught something with its edge. He believed it to be Traiborn.
"Gotcha!" Affliction had the invisible item caught up on his sword, or rather the invisible item had his sword caught up!
"How do you like constrictor weed?" Said a voice from below. Traiborn had jumped to a lower position on the mountaintop.
"I like mine fried!" Yelled Affliction as the sword of Sahiro burned to the weeds to a crisp. Affliction was immediately hit with a stench similar to that of burning rubber.

I'll edit in my post tomorrow, I have a headache, and well... Im going to bed.
Growing angry the fighter of Sahiro swung his sword around his bag, and jumped up a few boulders of what was now the blank mountain with nothing on it, Affliction knew that there would still be something in the mountain he needed, so he would have to restrain from doing damage to the mountain its self. He looked down and saw the tinted eyes, the only thing he could see as he had tuned out every thing else in the world. He than stared it down for the first time in the fight.
"you fool, dont you see." Said Affliction, but Trailborn, who had no idea what he was talking about. Affliction said nothing more, as the smell of burent rubber singed his nostrels as the smell of a skunk would stinge yours. There was an awkard silence as the fighter in trailborns curiosty got the best of him. "What are you looking for" said Trailborn. "that would be none of your buisness!" shouted out Affliction, and than he lunged forword, Not with anger, not with sorrow for the other fighter, not with anything but technique, the way he moved his sword, the way he moved his legs, it had all been planed.
The fire on the sword exploded, not a large explosion, but one big enough to make it viewable for a few hundred feet, in nothing but pitch darkness, but it was a bright night so it could even be seen from further than that. Affliction bounced off one rock, and against another, and off it. He landed on the ground right in front of the eye, and he jumped one more time. This time he flew overTrailborn, by at least a few feet, he landed he hind the figure and swung the sword. Blood flew unto the ground, the blood could be seen, which was Weird in Afflictions eyes.
"AGH!" shouted out trailborn, and apparantly in Afflictions eyes, he had taken out a huge gash in his back. And the eyes disapeared as it had jumped away, but AFfliction could see the blood trail so he went into the offensive and jumped up boulder fallowing the blood train, Affliction was grew tired. He jumped over one boulder and missed his footing. He hit foot hit the ground and slid out this time he fell five feet and his arm hit a hard rock. Blood fell from the arm as rain fallowing from a crack from a roof in a house.

Blood fell from the arm as rain fallowing from a crack from a roof in a house.

Ooc: So much for my longest Gunjin post ever post ever...
Blood. Blood? BLOOD? Yes, Traiborn's senses weren't wrong, he was bleeding. His back now pulsated with a sensation that he hadn't felt in a while, he had been so quick to his magic that he had never allowed himself to bleed, but now this was impossible. He was nearly out spell components and wasn't about to waste them on such a thing, besides, he had always wanted to observe his own blood and healing patterns. One thing was for certain, the trail he was leaving was profoundly inconvinient.
(I need a way to stop the flow...) Traiborn took advantage of Affliction's sudden fall to concoct a simple coagulant from grasses he could identify around his feet. Soon the blood had stopped pouring, but the pain was still existent. Affliction had now gotten to his feet, and had ran over to where he saw a small pool of blood and a massive amount of missing grass.
"Found you!" He lashed out with his blade, but caught only air. He felt a swift blow, his shin throbbed with a sudden pain and he fell to one knee.
"Have you no dignity!?" Shouted Affliction as he stood up, combating the throbbing pain in his left shin.
"Age and treachery beats youth and skill any day." Said Traiborn, revealing his position.
"Fool." Affliction made a swift slash, and seemed to feel the sensation of cutting something in half. Was the battle over? Had he one?
"Not quiet." Said Traiborn, the sound coming from behind Affliction. He had substituted a wooden doll in his place at Affliction's front. The doll had been shrunk, and Traiborn had placed it in his pocket for such situations. The doll re-sizes itself when he says a code-phraise. In this case it was a popular line from a culture he had observed in the future, and he had taken a liking to it. Using his new found advantage, he had gone on the offensive.
Burning. Heat. Red, yellow, white. All words often associated with fire, all words that perfectly describe what Traiborn had done. He had used almost all of what little spell components he now had in the hope that he could fry his opponent to a crisp, but did it?

The heat came intensly on his shoulders, and all over his body, but just as the great fighter from Sahiro was starting to feel the burn, he launched himself, away from most of the blow. The pain increasingly growing, and the burns on his body starting to tingle he looked around looking for the fighter he had just met that night. "CURSE YOU!!!!" yelled Affliction who's anger was growing more rapidly than it had ever before because he had never been this confused.
Leaping into the air, and looking around for Trailborn, Affliction had no idea what was going on. He looked to his left, and than to his right. He than landed on the ground. Trailborn had exhausted almost all of his magical powers, and he landed sat behind a rock trying to pull back all of his energy, but this he could not do.
Trailborn leaped from the ground, and up to his feet and charged Affliction not knowing what to do, but Trailborn had lost his carefulness, and Affliction actually saw the path of grass moving as Trailborn ran up the mountain at him. Affliction lept up so that Trailborn actually ran under him. He turned around in air, and swung the firey blade. The blade cut the most important part to Trailborns attack. The Boot. Half of the boot slid off his foot, and there was a large gash and blood in Trailborns foot, Affliction could see this because the enchantment left the boot.
Affliction had succeeded and was looking at Trailborns face for the first time.
"HA!!!!" Shouted out Affliction, he was ready to attempt to kill trailborn.

Ooc: I had to re-type this thanks to a sudden case of crappy internet. This has no where near the magnitude of the original, thank you "Page cannot be displayed" screen.
The jig was up. The invisibility enchantment on Traiborn's boots were all but gone, and he was in plain sight. A slightly charred Affliction stood above him with malicious intent. The blood-lust in his eyes was all to appearant.
"Your life ends now." He raised his blade to deliver the final blow, but was interrupted. A felt a searing pain in the side of his face, talons dug deep into his left cheek. After a few seconds of struggling he managed to break free of the bird's grasp. It flew over to Traiborn and landed on his arm.
"This is an old friend of mine, you can bear grudges if you wish, but know that he was merely following 'instinct'." Traiborn was as cocking as ever, even after narrowly escaping death. he was standingy, painfully, on hi injured foot.
Affliction answered with a growl and a swipe from the blade of Sahiro, he missed. His left eye had been made virtually useless by the owl. He made several more slashes in random directions, each one missing, each one making him more exhausted, each one giving Traiborn more confidence.

Blood dripped onto the ground, and splattered, grey rocks now had large spots of blood. "Damn you!" yelled out Affliction. He now had not depth perception because he only had one good eye. The side of the eye was actually visible do to the riped skin. With his one good eye he looked around, he found his opponent with it. A few feet up ahead, plotting his next attack. Trailborn looked at Afflictions face, and became sort of grossed out by it, but he couldn't help but laugh.
The fighter Affliction leaped forward, swung the blade, missing by a few feet, and Trailborn dodged, and laughed. Affliction kept swinging, and swinging, wearing down his fatigue, and Trailborn dodged them all with ease, while mocking Affliction. "Curse you!" yelled out Affliction who was angered, his depth perception was screwing up everything in the fight he was fighting for. Affliction had to make a quick decision, he now need to use his ears, more than his eyes, so he decided to do so.
Affliction charged forward this time, not paying attention to what he was seeing, but what his ears told him. But the bird on Trailborns shoulder would not take this lightly. The bird flew forward, and riped his claws into the arm of Affliction. He tore part of the muscle out, and blood flew. Affliction yelped with anger and pain. The bird tried coming around for a second attack, but Affliction heard him coming. He dodged to the ground the owl missed, and flew into a rock, where it fell to the ground.
The fighter Affliction jumped to his feet to attack the fighter Trailborn who was not ready because he was worried about his bird. The sword of Affliction slashed into Trailborns arm. Trailborn felt great pain, than his arm went numb. Blood poored from the arm, and his arm became just as useless as Afflictions eye. "ARGHH!" yelped out Trailborn. The bird regained its balance and angerly flew into Affliction's back. taring pieces of his back. Affliction pulled out a dagger from his sleeve, knocked the bird off his back.
The bird hit the ground, and only a second later, an enchanted dagger pierced through its heart, and stuck it to the ground. Trailborns watched it, and his eyes grew so small. Affliction raised back to his feet, blood was now pouring from his back, and he left the dagger in his heart.

"Bastard! You have no idea what it takes to bring creatures back from the dead!" Traiborn wasn't looking forward to days of being cooped-up in his home performing the difficult spell of reviving a body. His comrade lay limp on the ground, pinned by Affliction's enchanted dagger. The sight just made him angrier. He glanced at his arm, numb with pain, and dripping blood.
"I will have your head! I will mount it on my wall and mock it with the memory of your death!" After he said these words, he charged straight for Affliction, who met him with the sword of Sahiro. It seemed he had made a mistake, for he had no weapon in hand.
"FOOL! What kind of idiot enters a sword fight with bare fists?" he slashed Traiborn, creating a gash across his chest.
"The kind of idiot who still has a trick up their sleeve!" He made a simple hand movement.
CA-CRACK!
Lightning struck the warrior of Sahiro, causing great pain. At the same time he cursed himself for not suspecting some sort of trap. His leg was all but useless, having a bolt of lightning go straight through your leg usually doesn't go well. This was no exception.
"ARGH! You son of a-" He didn't manage to get the last bit out, Traiborn was on the move.
"At the sun's set I must leave you, but I believe we'll be done by then." he said in a joking tone of voice. The sun was growing low in the sky, his time abroad would soon end.

Dragging the numb leg, Affliction tried his best to run forward as fast his could, but he found having his leg numb to make it rather hard to balance, than he fell to the hard dirt ground, a bunch of blood pouring from all of his injuries. The leg turned purple and Affliction was now more angry than he had been in this fight. He pulled himself up to see a laughing trailborn. "Ha, you cant win now" Said Trailborn who was getting to cocky, and he would pay for it. Affliction used his one good leg to lunge forward, Sword of Sahiro drawn, he swung it and cut the side of Trailborns face. The burning blade pierced the side and left a huge gash in the face, and in a matter of second it started to swell from the burn.
The lizard grabbed his Jaw as the it burned with pain. The two fighters were dissembling each other piece by piece now. "Your lucky you screwed my depth perception by ruining my eye" Said Affliction who's eye had swollen with pain. Blood dripped down the side of Traiborns face, almost as bad as the blood poured down Afflictions face. Affliction pulled his sword up, and once again he lost his balance and fell to the ground, this time Trailborn did not laugh.
The opponent Trailborn was running out of ideas, his spell components were really low, and he was no longer invisible. And his only bird was dead. He had to retreat further into the mountain so he ran on. Affliction tried his best to keep up, but it was extremely hard. He soon fell further and further back from the fighter Trailborn. Trailborn took his advantage and decided to set up a trap, but Affliction knew he would do so. Affliction went off course and took a rout that he thought would get him up the mountain faster.
Trailborn turned around and shot a bolt of lighting where he thought Affliction was. But instead he saw an animal that was now dead from the bolt of lightning. "what the" He now could not finish his sentence as Affliction jumped out from a bush and lunged at him with his sword. The fire covered blade barley missed as Trailborn moved just slightly from the shock. "How did you get up the mountain so much faster!?" shouted out Trailborn as he moved away from Affliction.
"You took the hard rout, i took the easy. There was a spot in which was easy to climb, it was great, it even had a nice shop, where i ate." he was now just rubbing it in, and exaggerating of coarse, there was no shop, and he had not really eaten, he just simply found an easyer root.
"Well than you have to die!" shouted out Trailborn because he was simply angry. He jumped back and prepared to attack, and Affliction tried to do the same but his leg held him back.

A brass masked researcher sits far towards the edge of the fighters' fields of vision. He recollects a buried memory and an old promise.
His visible eye opens wide while he telepathically sends a message.
The offer still stands, Garamy, take a seat in the thirteen and your power will soar. It is not too late to join us.
