TIME. Dammit, I really wanted to counter Rep's post, considering I hate to lreave the battle uneven in post-count, but really, my first post was about as long as his first two combined. In a way, we kinda had three posts each, although he really had four.

Damn, I was hoping we could've had one more last-minute bout. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to hope for the best, though I'm rather skeptical since I feel like I could've written better than that.

I had just got back in when I saw TIME called, would anyone object if after the judges are done, we continue this, *dramatic music stab* TO THE DEATH.

^^Yeah, me too. I kinda feel like no-one went all out this round... Oh well. Championship is next, after all. Someone and someone else are gonna have an awesome time, and hopefully, I might be one of those someones.

^Maybe they'll let you, but it's certainly fine by me. But, although I'm the host, my word isn't gospel, so... Whatever the judges want.

Hes laughing with another girl
And playing with another heart.
Placing high stakes, making hearts ache.
Hes loved in seven languages.
Diamond nights and ruby lights, high in the sky.
Heaven help him, when he falls.

Diamond life, lover boy.
We move in space with minimum waste and maximum joy.
City lights and business nights.
When you require streetcar desire for higher heights.

No place for beginners or sensitive hearts
When sentiment is left to chance.
No place to be ending but somewhere to start.

No need to ask.
Hes a smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator.

Coast to coast, la to chicago, western male.
Across the north and south, to key largo, love for sale.

Face to face, each classic case.
We shadow box and double cross,
Yet need the chase.

A license to love, insurance to hold.
Melts all your memories and change into gold.
His eyes are like angels but his heart is cold.

No need to ask.
Hes a smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator.

Coast to coast, la to chicago, western male.
Across the north and south, to key largo, love for sale.

Smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator,
Smooth operator...

Why did I post this? No idea. Seems appropriate.

I could've done this sooner, but life got in the way!

Galefore Vs. Repster

Repster: Your characte reminds me of Marrow from X-Men, and I think you know why...yep, the Bone Wings. But, You actually use this "bone" theme throught (sp?) the fight. I gotta like how you fought, using alot of story points! I congradulate you, and not just because I've been looking up to you since I've been here, and I like how you used the sound effects with the Hair (Thock)
Score: 9.5

Galefore:.......I love your Intro.....LOVE.IT. I don't know much about your character, so you'll have to excuse me. It take ALOT of guts to use a one-handed character, but you pulled it off. I also like how you used Psychology in the fight from the Intro to the end. I liked both of your performances alot. and I think this was the best fight so far!
Score: 10

Malik Vs. T3h Darkness

Malik: Why did you censor Japs? Well, anyway... Your character seemed to have the most injuries...but, you caused that yourself so no point deduction, Your character, despite having only a parasol and katana, held your own. Heck, you were about to kill him (I think this is the closest Chase got to dieing....maybe) So, I gotta congradulate you....Even though I've never seen Lady Snowblood, and only a little of Kill Bill
Score: 8

T3h Darkness:...You should be happy you made it this far in your first try. FIRST! Anyway....Your Character scares me....like I never wanna fight him. His razor wire can be used for anything. In fact, this is the first time you were on the defensive and not doing something to your opponent. You're like a Lvl 99 Black Mage. Mostly Watching your destructive work. But barely able for Close combat (So far anyway, I may be wrong....) So you get
Score: 7

That's it....go

Awesome, Tazy's judgement is in :headbang: , *read, read*. Alright, I'm proud to have made it this far, but I don't want to stop yet. Wish the round had lasted a little longer, I had an awesome mundane finisher move to try out, partiall type in Works Word processor. You'll see when the other judges are done, I don't want to influence anything.

I'll say this was a hard match, mostly because the our characters are so seperate in locations, language, and relative power levels :sweatdrop: . Basically I cut all access to magic from his repertoire, except The Master's Puppet and a little mind reading so as not to break rule three. It felt weird, but personally I had fun trying out a younger version ot the character.

*Waiting eagerly for Saria Dragon and HotD*

EDIT: A bottle of Dr. Thunder for the next person to say somthing about the matches, judge or not.

Ah, ****. I just realized a major mistake in my first post: I wrote "The only arm he hand" where "The only arm that still had a remaining hand" was supposed to be. The whole sentence was completely screwed up from there, as its obvious that I tried to put "the only remaining hand" at the end, but didn't pay any attention to where I was placing it. Again, judges, please don't kill me; it was a mistake that somehow escaped my proofreading. *winces in embarassment*

Thanks, Tazy, for the judging! I await SD and HotD.

Judgings are coming, many appologies for the lateness. (I assure you, the Immigration Department is never something you want to deal with. :sweatdrop: )

Evening ladies and gents, I'm going to make this quick as I'm fairly tired and I'm sure no one wants to wait any longer than necessary ;)

...And damn you people for making these so closely matched battles. *flicks tail back and forth, much like an angry cat* Humans. *snort*

~~~~~~~~
Galefore vs. Repster
Galefore: Your opening post rocked all kinds of socks. The story element to it was a true pleasure to read. There’s a storyteller in you that, when given the opportunity (longer posts), really comes out and lends a lot of elegance to a well-structured piece.
7.4/10
Repster: The choice of character was intriguing and has lots of potential. Some of your writing felt a bit rushed; but then, it seems in this round, who wasn’t? You made great use of your character and came out with some excellent attacks.
7.5/10
~~~~~~~~
Bomby vs. T3hDarkness

Bomby: Such a manner for making introductions compelling and insightful. You have a very nice flow with your words and a good mind for movement. However! I must absolutely stress not to be afraid of completely beating your opponent within an inch of their life. Give enough emphasis to attacking, not only taking damage.

7.3/10

T3h Darkness: You have a lot of unique ideas and alternative strategies draw on, making your posts interesting and giving a lot of “feeling” to the era you were fighting in. While I’d also like to see a little more beat-‘em-up from you, there’s just a very particular style you’ve got and it will grow stronger and more certain as you battle.

7.0/10

Congratulations, all. With that, we await HotD and then the next round.

Thanks for the criticisms. I will admit I have been a bit reluctant when it comes to the attack side of things, mostly because when I was a n00b my battling would constantly recieve the criticism of being "cheap." I'll be on the offensive more if I make it to next round.

I know exactly what you mean Bomby. For quite some time, I pulled most of my punches so that I wouldn't seem too incredibly cheap. After all, the character I use has such an extrordinary potential for cheese. But then... I fought Joker. :p

[quote="Bomby Fiasco]Thanks for the criticisms. I will admit I have been a bit reluctant when it comes to the attack side of things"]

Feedback loop. That is all.

If Yuki had been dealt more damage Chase would have been able to follow suit without breaking rule three. The way it was set was probabbly more suited to the characters than an all out brawl.

Either way, as soon as we hear from Heroine of the Dragon I'll post the one I was saving.

Also are we intending to set up a match for the losing semi-fianlists to fight for third?

^^^Agreed; I may not have fought Joker, but I've seen his work and Wyborn's stuff, and I thought, "Man, I'm obviously not quite brutal enough..."

^^Well... Maybe. I was actually planning on having a match between the guys who lost, having a different set of judges, but that idea fell flat on the floor after I shot it down. I'll think about it... It sounds like a pretty good idea. I guess my NLBFT will be the first one to do that.
