^Nah, they'd have to get 2 different copyrights cleared for that track.
List of songs on the Kidz Bop albums - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You can see for yourselves the good songs that were butchered, the bad songs that should've never been rerecorded, and the inappropriate songs that the 7-year-old singers either didn't need to hear or just plain couldn't possibly understand.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I can't stand Kidz Bop. I remember, many years ago, my cousin had the second one, and let me listen to it.
I still remember the horror.
Oh well, it's kinda funny. Like a trainwreck, it's horrible, but you can't look away.
I hope someday they do a cover of Toybox's Bestfriend, just so maybe some little kid will ask their parents what it's about.

Nope, just one. Weird Al doesn't have to get anything cleared, because the right to parody is available to anyone without permission, as covered under Fair Use.^Nah, they'd have to get 2 different copyrights cleared for that track.
Anyway, Kids Bop doesn't really rub me the wrong way. It's covers of pop songs; both whose only intentions are to make money, neither of which have any musical worth.
I'd slightly rephrase that last part if mainstream hip-hop was any good like it used to be, but it seems to be content to sh*t out the same boring, cheesy and undanceable tickticktickticksnare 808/Casio beat over and over again. I guess forgoing taste and quality for the sake of feuds and bling or whatever the hell else has taken the place of actual breaks, samples, class and genuine emotion. At least mainstream hip-hop has the ability to say it was good, rock's always sucked; switching between disposable verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus sh*t and stupid, long boring "epics" that really have no value and are just making up for the fact that they don't have any original ideas. Don't even get me started on "pop divas", where emotional music isn't even an afterthought when there's important celebrity things to do (pose in front of cameras on a red carpet, sign autographs, dispelling rumors in interviews, etc.). Of course, none of this applies in every case.
To justify that horribly pretentious digression, my point is that no one should get bent out of shape over a product that has no delusions about being anything more than a money maker. It's cheesy, stupid and all-around bad, but hell, so is most pop music.
