I actually enjoy the license board. Though I wish it were a bit bigger.

I wish it weren't so easy to make character clones. This is basically every FF nowadays.

At least Vaan is better than Tidus. Slightly better. Which doesn't say much.

And the voice acting was actually good in this. Not crappy Anime style like FFX.

And how is Basch not cool? -CSM

At least give Wakka and Auron some props. I thought the voice acting for those two was pretty damn good.

I don't believe anybody said anything negative about Basch yet. Personally, he and Balthier are my favorite characters so far. Does Balthier remind anybody else of Han Solo?

Yeah, Balthier is easily the best part of FF12. His dialogue is simply amazing.

And yeah, Basch is pretty cool too, just not as interesting as Balthier so far.

I finally got a chance to play some more today. Still bothered by a lot of things, but it's enjoyable.

Oh, and I refuse to play Fran. Her voice actor is TERRRRRIBLE. And she's a giant bunny. In a skimpy outfit. That's really disturbing.

So right now, all of my characters are around level 25, except for Fran, who is 11.

I think it's funny.

I don't think I'm going to use Panelo at all either, since she's just annoying and pointless.

The other 4 characters give me everything I need.

Oh, and is it just me, or does it look like Vaan's top is some sort of man-bra?

A bro, maybe? Or a mansiere?-jay

Jay said Balther was the only thing good about FFXII. But I think all the characters except Vaan are cool. Vaan sucks.

The main problem with the characters is that it's so easy to make character clones. No more "the crappier the character comes out, the better the character's use in battle is" (I'm thinking Squall, Gau, Relm, and Rikku for starters). None of that fun. Vaan IS, however, WAY cooler than Tidus. Vaan may be a girly wimp, but he's not as whiny and wise-cracking as Tidus (who Vaan seems to be a clone of).

Fran was voiced by some girl named Nicole Fantl who, by very nature of the fact that she was in Moulin Rouge, sucks. She was also in Star Wars Ep II. And she sucked in all three of her roles. -CSM

So, I just got this game yesterday. Well, it has it's pros and cons, but so far, I really enjoy it.

Balthier = LOVE! Oh em gee, he's the coolest ever! His dialogue is simply amazing, as is his voice actor. I seriously am in love.

I actually like Fran's voice. I think it suits her character - very exotic and unique. And I actually like Fran.

Basch is totally cool. Vaan is okay. His voice actor is kinda dull though - gimme some emotion, man!

The license board is frustrating, because I can't buy certain equipment until I unlock the license... just frustrating. And unnecessary, it seems. I do like the idea of customizing each character though.

Gambits... the jury's still out on that. I find them useful, and sure, it's waaay different from the FF's of old, I kinda like the battle system. Some people say it's like you don't do any work, but there is plenty of strategy that has to go into working the gambit system, and I like that process. Could just be me, though.

Balthier is my god. Did I say that already?

I dunno what's up with Vaan's abs, but they irritate me. He is kind of an annoying character.

I really like the overall voice acting in this game. All of main characters (minus Vaan), have pretty good voice actors, and even the supporting roles do an excellent job.

Eh, I'll find more things once I play further into the game.

It stands to reason, after all. It's a Final Fantasy with a number greater than six. (Or, if you'd rather, a Final Fantasy game with 3d models.) Of course it isn't very good.

And despite that it will still sell really really really well. Like hotcakes laced with cocaine.
