Rocketgal mentioned this, and I figured I'd pose it to everyone and see if there was interest. If so, we'd need to work out the details, including what to do with the money (i.e. gift for Knux's family, donations to the charities mentioned in his obituary).

I was originally thinking of his family, but as Crav brought up in a post a second ago I think Knux was big on giving to charities. So I dunno, what does everyone else think?

I think it would be nice to maybe send his family a flower basket or something similar from all of us. Then we could donate any extra money raised to charity.

Sound good?
Honestly, I'm pretty broke, but I think even I could scrape togather $10 or so for a good cause.

As of next Monday I will have the money to cover any shipping charges for sending things like this to Knux's family.

Mushi, that's really cool of you. We would all really appreciate it if you could do that.

I like your idea, Crav. And really, I probably wouldn't be able to donate a ton of money, either, but I'll do what I can.

What I'm thinking of doing is sending something to his family this week and then giving whatever is above and beyond that for the rest of the year to charity.

I think that sounds pretty good. That would give members who aren't able to give right away a chance to send their donations later.

And just to throw it out there, personally I think I'd rather give his family something other than flowers; you know, something they can keep forever.

I've already ruled out flowers. Here are some possibilities. Haven't looked through it entirely, but this in particular I found appropriate.

That stone seems to fit very well, I think. I found another one with the same verse, and I think there are others too.

I'll look around the site a bit more as well.

EDIT: Here's another idea, but so far I like Shane's better.

Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Great idea. Paypal should work for me if that is the thought.

I'll have my donation in a soon as I can. It would have been tomorrow, but I realized a couple minutes ago that I don't have any stamps. It should be in the mail by Monday at the latest, though, and hopefully sooner.

I've looked around and decided to go with the eternal flame that was posted earlier in this thread. I'm going to order it in a couple days. If anyone has any ideas for the engraving (3 lines, 18 characters per line), post them here. Whoever has Knux's address, please PM it to me.

I think one of the lines should be his real name. I personally wouldn't put "Knuckles138" on there, but that's up to the community.

It was Knuckles173, but I agree that we should use his real name.

I'll try to find a way to donate. It's a bit more complicated for me, because of foreign currency and the lack of creditcard.
