Viceroy Nute Gunray
Everyone,
I don't know if this is the proper location to create this topic, and if it is not, moderators please move it to the correct place.
My brother, Philip, who posted in here as Viceroy Nute Gunray passed away last week. He was suffering from a bone infection in his right femur and a fungal infection in his lungs. He was 18. Philip lived with Aplastic Anemia, basically a suppressed bone marrow. His body was not able to recover from a broken leg he suffered in 2002. The bone couldn't heal, nor could open wounds from numerous surgeries, and infections spread. From the many antibiotics that he was given to fight the bone infection, a fungal infection developed in his lungs.
I'd like to say that I know he spent a lot of time on these boards talking with you guys. I specifically remember one instance in 2001, when we were returning from a trip to Europe and had to spend a night in Heathrow airport waiting on a layover. He raced to a coin-op internet access and spent the entire 6 hours of the night on VGF, posting about anything and everything he missed in the 2 months that we were gone. What I'd like to say is thank you to all of you for providing him with your interaction and friendship, as the last couple of years of his life involved a lot of hospital visits and he didn't attend school, so most of his socialization was done online.
Among his passions were video games, Star Wars, and animals and he was lucky to be able to share his passion with others who felt similarly. I already very much miss joking and chatting with him about various topics he told me he had discussed on this site, but I'd like to thank you guys for being a part of his life.

Wow. Just a month ago talking about big brother and...now. I didnt even know him personally but it's like....damn. I seriously just teared. I'm really hoping this isnt real, but I guess it is. Rest in peace, I have no idea what to say right now.
And it's so crazy because I remember when he started the topic about his bone broken...and me just thinking it was a bone and they always heal, yet, .....this one didnt. Wow. Speechless.
It's real, guys.
Knux was a great member. It's sad that we've lost one of the best and most active VGFers. Knux will never be forgotten. Damn, it comes as so much of a shock for Knux to die, even though he gave notice he was ill.
You just don't expect things to end up this way.
Rest in Peace, Knux.
This question might be out of line, but what topic did he state he was ill in? I dont remember it. But I left for a while also so, it's expected. Still speechless though..

You know someone just leaving is one thing. You know that even though they wont be posting on the forums anymore..they're probably somewhere in good health. Losing a member is far worse, and especially one that was as funny and contributed as much as Knux. Damn, I'll never forget him.
