Yuki's Pokemon Adventure!
Name: Yuki Smythe
Gender: F
Age: 14
Region: Hoenn
Starting Pokemon: Trapinch (Name: Torath)
Bio: Like any other fresh teenager, Yuki bears the common fascination with Pokemon, their attitudes, nature, and activities. Something of a poke-nut, she has collected paraphernelia related to her favorites and used it to decorate her room. While she's extremely disorganized as far as her room and pack are concerned, she's not actually messy or dirty in any regard. With ankle-length black hair and ice-blue eyes, as well as a tendency to wear long skirts, she doesn't look anywhere near as active as she is- she doesn't even look like the sort to be a trainer. Still a sharp mind lurks under her long, eye-shading bangs, which works well with her large heart. If only she wasn't so scatter-brained....
She hails from Rustboro, though she's refused every attempt of her parents to enroll her in the Trainer School.

"I wish you'd reconsider!" Yuki's mother pleaded with her, begging her daughter for what had to be the seventh time that day to not go out on a journey, where who knows what could happen to her, and instead join the Pokemon Acadamy. The Acadamy, though not cheap, was the easiest way to be qualified to join the Pokemon League, easiest in the fact you don't even have to leave your town to do so, but that kind of Life didn't sppeal to Yuki.
"Mother, I have already made up my mind!" she said, stopped to look at her Pokeball, it was the present her Father had gotten her when he had took it upon himself to enrool her in the acadamy, and inside was a Trapinch, which was meant to be her star Pokemon in her studies.
"If we had known you would throw this whole thing back in our faces, we never would of gotten you a Pokemon to begin with! Its bad enough you want to spend your life battling, but to do it in such a way!"
Yuki had heard enough, as she grabbed her bag, her Trapinch's PokeBall, and walked out the door . . . it was just what she needed to do, this was her life, not her parents . . . and she wanted to adventure, to battle, not to read about battling in some book . . .
There's a lot to do in Rustboro, its quite a little metropolis that even Goldenrod or Saffron may blush at! Most obvious here was the Devon Corp., where both her mother and father work at, not quite as impressive as the Kanto region's Silph Co. but still very large. Of course there was also the Pokemon Trainer's School, and the Pokemon Gym who had recently changed Gym Leaders. And of course, a Pokemon Center, PokeMart, as well as a Pokemon Contest Center, and also six seperate houses around the town. Other then that, to the South was Route 104, to the East was Route 116, and to the North was Route 115.

Sigh.
"I swear, my parents have no imagination at all..." Yuki mutters, meandering generally northwards past the Gym. "I'm not even going to pretend I think I can handle a Gym Leader yet, though.... I need to practice." Turning at the fork in the road, she heads East, towards Route 116. "Maybe I can find someone to battle against..."

Yuki leaves Rustboro without much incident, as she walks right out onto Route 116. The path suddenly splits, one more to the North, and one to the South. Both seem to have a few people standing a bit, one looking like he's trying to catch some Pokemon. There is one on the Southern pass that Yuki could get to without having to walk through the tall grass, but if she went North, to get to the first body she would have to take quite a few steps into the grass, where a wild Pokemon could jump out at her . . .

"Hmm." Thoughtfully, Yuki chews on the inside of her cheek for a moment, then checks her pack to see what she's got on hand. The first thing she comes across, naturally, is a pack of gum, from which she pulls a few sticks to chew. Then she starts rummaging around. If she's well enough supplied, she should be able to field some wild 'mon in addition to a trainer or two.

"Damn." Yuki mutters to herself, biting down on the wad of gum for a moment. "No potions, that means I can't field more than one or two battles..." Looking off to the North, and then to the East, she shrugs and heads East, for the other trainer she can reach without passing through any of the tall grass.
"Hey!" She calls out, walking straight over, a cheerful smile on her face, her pokeball in the air. "Are you up for a battle?"

Up stands a rather young looking girl, a bright, cheery smile on her face and a pack slung over her shoulder. She giggled and sniffled slightly, moving her shoulder, her pack obviously filled with books.
"Battle?" the young girl said, "I'm here on field study for the Pokemon Acadamy, but I think I have time for a quick battle!"
Lass Susie wants to battle!
Susie pulled back from her bag with a PokeBall, launchuing it forward, "Whismur, go!"
LV5 Trapinch (HP 20/20) VS LV4 Whismur (HP 19/19)
"Come on, Whismur! Show her your Pound attack!"
Whismur looked rather nervous, but nodded as it flexed its body once, then twice, before it bounced up and slammed itself against the Trapinch, bouncing itself off from its head and back against the short grass, slightly on its back before it hopped back up.
Trapinch recieves 4 Points of damage! (HP 16/20)

"Not bad...." Yuki smiles slightly, tilting her head in acknowledgement. "I guess I'll open with a *Bite!*" She calls out, directing Torath mid-sentence. "Grind it down, Torath, you can outlast it!" The slight smile remains on her face, the expression of one confident in her 'mon's ability.
Tiny legs churning, Torath charges forwards, snapping its jaws at the fluffy-looking Whismur- jaws nearly as big as Whismur itself.

Yuki sighs at the other trainer's reaction, shaking her head. "It's a pokemon battle, not a pokemon play club. I'm sorry that your Whismur is getting hit, but that's just part of battling. Torath!" She interrupts herself, directing her 'mon. "Grind it down the rest of the way, but don't overdo it. Just enough to win, alright?"
"Trrp!" Torath replies, skittering about a bit again on its little legs. It would be comical if its teeth weren't so hazardous- teeth that are once more heading for an impact with the Whismur.

Its teeth bite hard into Whismur's body, making it shudder and fall over, fainted! "Oh no! You meanie!" the girl whimpers, calling her Whismur back.
Torath wins the battle! Suddenly Torath starts to kick and bite into the air, it looked somehow stronger!
Torath gains a level! Torath LV6 HP: 14/22!
The girl frowns but looks up, teary-eyed, "even though you're a meanie, you still beat me . . . this is for you."
Yuki recieves a Potion!
The girl frowns, defeated and with no other Pokemon, should would have to visit the Pokemon Center before she could start training again. She was the only Trainer that could be reached without crossing into the grass, although there was another one within eyeshot, Yuki would have to brave through the grass to reach him. She new there might be another Trainer to the North trail, but again she would have to cross heavy grass to reach him. Other then that, the only other option was to head back to town.

Smiling slightly, Yuki crouches down, rubbing Torath's head. "Good job, Torath! This is what they call an 'auspicious start', right?" Still petting her 'mon, the young woman pulls her wallet out of her pack, and opens it, looking in. If she has enough Poke' to buy some more supplies, then it's time to head back now- otherwise, it's time to head into the grass.
