This is my master game design, an RPG based on the world of Skies of Arcadia. It began as a sequel to continue the story after that game had ended, and eventually turned into a whole new story spawned from tying up loose ends of the original's storyline.
20 years after the adventures of legendary adventurer Vyse, the continents of Arcadia have undergone great changes and have started a new age. King Enrique and Queen Moegi of New Valua have reformed their land into a kingdom of equality, and have sent their armada of airships abroad as explorers to reach out to the lands that Vyse had discovered.
Such regions include the Lands of Ice under the Purple Moon, The mysterious and dangerous storm current known as the Dark Rift, and even the underworld beneath the clouds, Deep Sky.
You take the role of a young Air Pirate named Cysma, whom my username was named after. He and his lifelong friend, Nira, are members of a group of Blue Rogues called the Phoenix Clan, led by Captain Vince. Together, you will explore the new lands of Arcadia and piece together the events that occured in the 20 years since the day of Vyse, including the dissappearance of Vyse himself.
There even more recent mysteries around New Valua. Just a few years ago, First Admiral Marco had brought back the Black Moonstone from the Dark Rift and presented it to the king. Ever since, Enrique has been intrigued by the legend of the lost Black Moon and seeks to find the answers. Will the world be able to handle the truth once it is discovered?
That's the synopsis of the story, though I have completed much more that I may post later, including:
-Complete plot from beginning to middle to end, with all locations visited in the game.
-Histories of all characters involved, new and old.
-Attributes and abilities of the player characters. There are 10 in all.
-Battle system and its mathematics.
-Experience charts for each character and attributes for over 300 enemies, including ships.

Here are the first of the player characters:
Cysma Wittian
Age: 19
Title: Air Pirate
Affinity: Unknown
Initial Level: 1
The player's Avatar and the main character. Cysma had grew up in a peaceful, quiet village with Nira until 10 years ago, when his home was raided by unknown invaders. He and Nira were miraculously saved by Vince, and have since grown up as Air Pirates in his clan. The rebellious, daring Cysma lives for the thrill of the hunt, but one day hopes to find the murderers of his family and friends and return the favor. He still vividly remembers that fateful day and the faces of the attackers.
Weapon: Sword. Though Air Pirates typically use the Cutlass, Cysma can handle any type of sword he can get his hands on.
Nira Fintropa
Age: 19
Title: Blue Rogue
Affinity: Silver
Initial Level: 3
Cysma's only surviving childhood friend. She was found in a basket on the doorstep of who would be her adopted parents when she was only a few weeks old. While only a few months younger than Cysma, she looks up to him and his bravery, thinking of him as the big brother she never had. Since Cysma can become discouraged easily, Nira is there to support him in return for the inspiration. Not wanting to be a burden on the Phoenix Clan, she eagerly looks to help out with whatever she can. Nira also hopes to find out where she is from and who her real parents were.
Weapon: Staff or spear. Nira has learned martial fighting techniques with long weapons like these to keep her opponents at bay.
Vince Dynenum
Age: 37
Title: Captain
Affinity: None
Initial Level: 8
The encouraging captain of the Phoenix Clan always looks at the bright side of everything. He is a great leader according to his crew, but he also has a soft spot in his heart for Cysma and Nira, whom he saved from certain doom 10 years ago and raised them like his own. Though he cares for them more than any other member of his crew, he is also willing to let them go when they are ready to set off on their own.
Weapon: Handgun. Vince used to fight with cutlasses when he was around Cysma's age, but has recently decided to use guns instead to ward off the enemy safely from a distance.
Snipakuta Tikachtla
Age: 17
Title: Hunter
Affinity: Green
Initial Level: 5
A brave youth of Ixa'Taka, the plant-covered continent under the Green Moon. He is the son of Tikatika, a hunter who is said to have once served the legendary Vyse. Snipakuta has chosen to follow in his father's footsteps by slaying hostile monsters roaming his land and protecting his people from them. His father once had eyesight sharper than an eagle's, but he has ironically contracted a disease that is attacking his eyes. Tikatika is nearly blind now, and his son is doing whatever he can to support him.
Weapon: Bow & Arrow. Snipakuta's inherent sharp eyesight allows him to shoot arrows with deadly precision. He can even enchant his arrows with magic for greater effect.

Also, here are some of the differences in the game as opposed to the original Skies of Arcadia:
Party Change
When there are more than four characters in the party, Cysma may choose any three others to join him in battle while on the airship or at a save point. Those that fight in battle and survive will gain full XP, while the rest get 25 to 50% XP. Changing the party at this time can be done either at the menu or by talking to the desired characters in person and asking them to come along.
Journal
The Journal contains the following sections in the menu:
Quests: Lists the current quests available and those you have completed. The quest listed under "Primary Objective" is what you must do to advance the storyline. Secondary quests are sidequests.
Discoveries: Lists the discoveries you have found and those you have not found but have information about. You can also check the location of any given discovery you've found on the map.
Treasure List: Lists all items you have ever owned in the game along with their attributes and background. Both this list and your current inventory sorts your items into categories:
Common items
Weapons
Armor
Accessories
Ship Parts
Key Items
They can also be sorted in each category by name, parameters, value, or order found.
Bestiary: Lists all the monsters you have defeated as well as how many you have defeated. You can also read their stats and background information about them. They can be listed by name, type, location, or any individual stat.
Battle System
The battle system has been changed in some ways:
Turn Order: Random numbers are added to or subtracted from each combatant's Speed stat, then turns go from the highest to lowest. The random numbers change after each round, possibly altering the order as well.
Magic: Magic usage and how they affect Spirit is reversed. Each spell uses only 1 SP, but different amounts of MP depending on each spell. Using Focus will also recover a small amount of the character's MP. There is also a new element for magic and a seventh spell for each type.
S-moves: Cysma can learn 6 different S-Moves, and everyone else 3. To learn a new S-Move, a character must consume 1 Moonberry per the S-move number. (1 for the first, 2 for the second, etc.) Cysma already knows his first S-move at the beginning of the game. You cannot win Moonberries from random battles, but you can get them from bosses, treasure chests, and sidequests. There are a total of 68 in the entire game, enough for everyone to learn every S-Move.
The S-Moves themselves usually require input button commands during the move to determine how successful it is.

I don't often get the chance to be on a computer to type here, but now I have the chance...
The game begins as the Phoenix clan raids a Nasr patrol ship. Cysma and Vince jump on deck for the game's first battle against a few Nasrean soldiers. Afterwards, you start the first dungeon, the Nasr battleship itself.
When you reach the bridge, you'll find Nira, who had ran off on her own during the raid, but the ship's captain was already dead when she got there! Suddenly, a mysterious figure jumps out of the shadows.
BOSS: ???
HP: 1000
Level: 3
The silent assassin fights with a pair of pistols, and they really pack a punch! Your best bet is to have Vince be the main attacker, as he is the highest leveled of the three, while Cysma and Nira back him up.
After the battle, the gunslinger dissappears as quickly as he came, leaving the Phoenix Clan to collect the loot from the ship.

Very nice. I like your ideas and characters. The black moon idea is a very good one since all the other coloured moonstones came from one of the moons. There's a few things I'd like to ask though.
Firstly, the black moon stones are said to be what causes the Dark Rift. Did Marco take the giant one and the dark rift is no more or did he only take a smaller one? Also, why would Blue Rogues attack a Nasr patrol ship? Surely the world hasn't changed that much that the Nasreans have became evil?

Okay, I'll take them one at a time, Val.
1. Marco was able to take the giant Black Moonstone, yet the Dark Rift is still as strong as ever. Apparently there is more than just a big rock controlling the mysterious rift.
2. Nasr military ships are well armed, and the continent's new leader is quite greedy. The job of the Blue Rogues is to steal from the rich and give to the needy, which is exactly what the Phoenix Clan is doing at the beginning of the game.
Now, back to the walkthrough...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
After gathering the spoils from the patrol ship and sending it (the ship itself), along with its surviving crew, back home, the clan returns to their home base, a cave hidden beneath a village on Pyrolisk Island.
After unloading the ship of goods that are immediately useful, the crew is dismissed for the day, as Captain Vince has decided that they will head to the big city to sell the leftover treasure on the market. This leaves you to explore the base and the village above and chat with the crew and villagers, find hidden items, and buy goods from the stores using the gold you won during the raid and on the trip back to town.
That night, while Cysma is reading a book chronicling the known history of the Air Pirate Vyse, he dozes off for a minute and an old nightmare resurfaces: the undying memory of a certain tragedy in his past. Fortunately, Nira wakes him up when she hears him, asking him what was wrong.
The next morning, the crew departs just as they had planned, but the ship doesn't get very far before an ominous silhouette of a ship appears in the morning fog. It turns out to be the ship of a dreaded Black Pirate named Gault. Besides attacking and raiding every unarmed ship that tries to pass through his self-proclaimed territory, Gault and his pirate crew are a longtime nemesis of the Phoenix Clan due to their headquarters being only a few islands apart. And now, Gault's ship, the Pisesuvate, quickly closes the distance between his ship and yours while firing his cannons. Cysma and Nira run out on deck, followed by the captain expecting the enemy to jump on board. Instead, the Pisesuvate rams their ship almost head-on and throws the three overboard into a sea of trees below...
