Well, the hero(ine) seems to be similar to FFX-2's Yuna. (ooh, that's bad..)
Another source tells me Yoswearing is childishswearing is childishswearing is childishswearing is childishaka Amano will be involved to some degree in this (That's good!) Let's just hope he does more than design the logo this time...
There are two sequels ALREADY announced for this one (ooh, that's bad)

Speaking of FFVII, they also announced ANOTHER crappy spinnoff. This one will be a spinoff of DoC for cellphones. Somehow, I think Dawn of Mana is what's saving them. Even still, I heard "More CG than game," which doesn't sound promising. Square may have hit rock bottom. Then again, I said that when they released FFX-2 and when they put YuRiPa in KH2 and when they cancelled Chrono Break. -CSM

I'm so glad Nomura's not designing for this game. Nomura sucks. He raped Setzer. And the zippers. What the fsck is with the zippers. Amano is my boy. We do mad drugs all day and night.

Everybody keeps ranting about the spin-offs of FFVII. Yeah, my only problem with this is that they're doing it for the profit, etc, but what's so bad about the idea of FFVII spin-offs? How many of you would have been as upset had they done this way back when? So long as they're good quality and they don't murder the game, I really don't care. I'm not really interested in cellphone games, though...
As far as I can tell from the Gamespot reports that I read yesterday, FFXIII is in the works along with Final Fantasy Versus XIII, both for PS3. Versus is some sort of spin-off, correct me if I'm wrong, and the great thing is, it's being produced by the Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts teams! I just about drooled when I saw that. There's also some sort of related cellphone game in the works too.
But I do agree on two counts: they need to stop producing FFVII spin-offs after this and work off some new concepts--but it seems they're doing that with FFXIII and FFVsXIII, so I, frankly, am happy. On the other hand, I can't stand knowing that there isn't a new Chrono game under development. So very sad. =(
Good thing (hopefully)? The main character of FFXIII isn't an androgynous boy--it's a girl! I actually could tell it was a girl, though I know some people thought it was just another pretty boy. I think it's a step in the right direction, anyway. ^_^ I'm sorry, but Vaan kind of bugs me...

It's not the fact that there are FFVII spinnoffs. It's the shear number of them. I mean, FFVI has room for a prequel based on Gestahl's rise to power, but they don't seem to be doing THAT.
They need to do a main character in the model of Cecil. The problem with the FFXIII girl is she's not in the Terra mode. She's in the FFX-2 Yuna mode. -CSM

Sup, Ramza.

She reminds me more of Agrias, or Meliadoul. <3
Wasn't Firion the protagonist?
Yea, but Firion was all 'no personality except for piss-rinse-mop-repeat, don't know when to accept sex'. Since Gus/Guy was in the party throughout the game, I consider him a protagonist too.
He didn't complain. He might've been too dumb to know how, but he still never complained.

I wish Finale Fantasy would go back to being more Dark Age/Mideveial LOTR type RPGs like they where to start with, there Futuristic ones just don't intrest me nearly as much.
Eaither way Square still refuses to realse the main games on the Nintendo Systems anyways so I haven't had the option of playing any since VI Which was called 3 in the US.

LotR-style? :/ I don't think the stories had that much work and revision.
I actually kind of like the futuristic feel of some of the 'newer' games.
just think what would you rather have a gun or a bow and arrow
They both have their ups and downs.
Guns
Pros
-Lightweight, easy to carry.
-Fires fast. Hard to dodge bullets.
-Bullets are hard to remove from wounds.
-Out of ammo? Hit people with the barrel or stock.
Cons
-Bullets are hard to remove from wounds.
-Loud unless silenced.
-Ammo looks hard to refill.
-Smelly. :/
Bows
Pros
-Lighter than guns.
-Listening to the shafts fly through the air is cool.
-Barbed arrows are nice because they get caught in the target. They have to be pushed through; otherwise the barbs will catch onto blood vessels.
-Other than barbed, shafts are easy to remove them from whatever they hit.
Cons
-Gotta string it.
-Drawing the string back can be a bitch.
-Gotta take into mind factors like wind.
-Bowstaves are made of wood. Draw the string too far back, SNAP!
