SETZER!!!!

FFVI fans rejoice! We FINALLY get some justice!

But, unfortunately, Setzer lost his scars! I don't think Nomura did such a great job redesigning him. Wait, Nomura may have actually designed Setzer! But the in-game and official art are clearly Amano!

It could have been worse, though. They could have made him dressed like a baby, like they did with so many others. -CSM

Never in a million years would I have expected them to put in Raijin and Fujin... I'm so happy! ^^ And Vivi and Seifer are awesome (mainly Vivi)! =) Very cool. Setzer and the gang from FFX-2, too... Wow. Setzer's kinda hot. >.>; Nice. I can not wait to pick up this game.

Oh, yeah. I forgot. Vivi kicks ass.

My main concern is who will be voicing Vivi and Setzer. I know the rest of the voice acting will suck, but I've been following Vivi and Setzer updates very closely, and I don't want to see the two characters in this game I like voiced by someone I don't like. That will be what may be what is keeping me from getting the game. Aeris, Selphie, Tidus, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine are already keeping me away. -CSM

Are Selphie and Tidus actualy gonna DO SOMETHING in this game ( Considering they show up ) ? Something other than be wooden sword fodder? Not that it's a problem.
But, yeah. Vivi kicks ass. I just hope he won't have an Ash Ketchum-ish voice.

I can't wait for this game, Maybe Cyan, Terra, Sabin and other FFVI will atleast be seen in the game. Though i'd still like to see a FFVI part two, Seven got the movie and that game staring vincent, (unless it never made it out of Japan.) ten got a full Blown sequal, so why not six?

They, sadly, won't appear in this game. And I AM pissed off about that. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine will be appearing as a summon of sorts. I think Terra fits that role perfectly, and am shocked they chose a bunch of no-talent ass clowns (yay Office Space reference!) that should have been ditched a long time ago to be the summon instead of Terra.

I'd have liked to see Locke make an appearance as well, as he fits the game's mood perfectly as a Treasure Hunter. Maybe with Celes. Regardless of who's in the game, I would definitely get it if I heard Edgar was in it (I'd LOVE to have seen him hit on Kairi), or Kain, or Edge. Also, in the Tarzan world, it would be cool if Gau appeared.

And I'll get the game if Selphie and Tidus don't appear. I hope to god they don't do anything because I want to have less to do with them than YuRiPa. -CSM

The fact that Setzer is in the game should delight me, but he looks like a bastardized cross between Ansem and Sephiroth instead of himself so it just really pisses me off.

You don't mess with Amano's designs you rat bastards!

Like I said, it could have been worse. You know Tidus and Wakka? They got made into kids. Setzer could have been a kid.

But I do agree that what Nomura did to Setzer was just plain wrong. They should have at least let him keep his scars, as they are what makes Setzer cool. They should also give him his playing cards back (he IS the token gambler of the series, after all). And NO ONE can compare to Amano when it comes to character design.

This is why I think FFVI has the best graphics in the series. They really pushed the SNES to its limits, and that, combined with Amano as designer, made for the game to be played in what looks like a Picasso.

On the other hand, I'm really happy that he's in, and let's not complain too much or else we'll never see another FFVI character in another game.

RIP, Setzer. Your death at the hands of the bishinator shall be avenged. -CSM

^ I believe it was because they had to clean up the image. If you look at scans of Auron, he's lost his scars to, and suddenly, Paine, Yuna, and Rikku are MUCH more appropriately dressed (at least, there is less skin). It has to do with being "disney" and "kid" appropriate.

Well atleast FFVI hasn't been totaly forgotten, dragged by it's legs up six flights of concreat steps, but not forgotten. Also I still think that Cyan should be playible. He could so beat the Tar out of Cloud in a swordfight.( Notice I said sword fight not all out brawl as if given the proper matrai and asessories Cloud could beat Superman without much effort.)

Except the game is rated Teen.

And Cloud and Squall are allowed to keep their scars, why shouldn't Setzer? -CSM

The point is, all the images have been somewhat altered to appeal to a younger audience. Despite having a Teen rating, the game is based on Disney as well, which appeals to young children naturally. The Teen rating doesn't prevent young kids from purchasing the game. It all has to do with the style- Disney is going to be cleaner and more "cartoonish".

That still doesn't explain why Squall still has scars while Setzer doesn't. -CSM
