Which do you use? If you don't have a firewall, why not???
Personally, I've got a hardware firewall that works like a gem... nothing gets in at all, except the odd virus or two, but, more important, any hacking attempts on my computer (which there are actually more of than you'd think) always stop right there. It's great.

I have a software firwall, I use ZoneAlarm. I also have a built in firewall in my router, so I guess you could call that a hardware firewall, but a lot of things get past it into my computer that ZoneAlarm stops. I would prefer to have a hardware firewall, but I don't want to pay for it. I'm not too concerned about security as I don't have anything of great importance on my computer because I reformat it frequently.
