I actively hate Selena Gomez music, which only got worse when it was force-fed to me at Kmart for years. (She's actually a pretty good actress, though. She should stick to that.)
A song I hate from a band I love is "The Day We Fall in Love"; it's absolute garbage, the Monkees themselves never liked it, it never appeared on their show, & they've never played it live.
I think my actual least favorite song is "DOA" by Bloodrock; that tune gave me nightmares.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

So I wouldn't much like the song anyway, but "Let her Cry" by Hootie and the Blowfish always bothers me because I hear "Let her be" as "Letter B" like it's some weird Sesame Street song.

If disliking a song for its lyrics is cricket, then put me down for not liking Hoobastank---------'The Reason'. The melody is alright, but hoo boy-----------there's just something about the line "I'm not a perfect person" that irritates the heck out of me.

So here's one that's probably controversial-----------'Smooth Criminal' is overrated. Video is super awesome, but the lyrics are about ninety percent "annie are you okay", and the music is kind of blah and repetitive. And, like, whatever else you say about Michael Jackson, he was profoundly talented as a vocalist, and the song doesn't really showcase his gift, because he adheres to that staccato 'dukkadukkadukka-dunn-dunn' bassline, so each syllable is like an eighth note at most. And it feeds into the lyrical problem---------what the heck is Michael saying when he isn't saying 'annie are you okay'? I don't know the lyrics to 'Beat It' by heart, but I can make out the words just fine. For crying out loud.

Style over substance. It works as a music video because the music video is the coolest thing ever----------Michael shows up lookin like a million bux, he flips the coin into the jukebox from fifty feet away, he makes all the girls in the place want him and the guys want to be him and also want him, he kicks ass, he does that impossible lean, he moonwalks, he dances like the new Terpsichore-----------all of it is visual. It doesn't carry over into the purely auditory version of the song.

It's an alright song, don't mistake me. But it sure as flip ain't no 'Billie Jean'. Or 'Black or White', for that matter.

^ Which one of their games is your favorite? It's Heavy Rain for me, a gritty noir detective game is hard to turn down.

...I'm sorry, how many xtreme beach volleyball games has Quantic Dream made, again? Oh, that's right----------none at all.

'One of the best developers' in a pig's eye.
I think Heavy Rain had a type of handball minigame. That's close enough, right?
Heavy Rain was a good one. I don't know if I ever finished it though. I mean can't go wrong with Detroit. 2 Souls would be the runner up for me.

The proper endings are the weakest part of Heavy Rain anyway, so maybe that's for the best. And yeah, Beyond Two Souls takes second place for me as well.

I'm still a bit disappointed they're wasting their talent on licensed games now, ugh.

...I just heard Florida Georgia Line--------'Cruise' for the first time in ages, and it still sucks.

I love country music. It can be unbelievably sweet and poignant, and profound. There is nothing profound about the line "baby, you a song", unless you think it's a sign of profundity that your entire audience is retching. What is that. Why is that?

Even aside from it being the stupidest metaphor this side of "my love for you is ticking clock", why is there no linking verb there? Are Florida-Georgia Line all pidgin-speaking imbeciles? "Baby, you're a song" would still be pathetic and contemptible, but at least it wouldn't sound like it was written by Jar Jar Binks. For crying out loud.

Any pop song with a typical pop chord progression. Pisses me off even more that they don't just use the same chords but the same inversions of the chord too. It's all basically 1 song, 90% of them are ghost written by 2 white dudes in their 70s.

^I feel you, buddy. I don't hate 'Don't Stop Believin', but I also sure don't want every song to be 'Don't Stop Believin'.

[EDIT: Ahahahaa. 'Any Way You Want It' is objectively a better song in every way, but it seems people hate it way more than 'Don't Stop Believin'. We live on a dumb planet full of goofballs, friend, no mistake.

While I do not totally detest their work, if you listen to Genesis, all their songs after Peter Gabriel left the band are rather syrupy sounding. Whether you play a hit by Genesis or Phil Collins on his own, it doesn't matter. The songs he made are pure cheese.

I can see why prog rock fans prefer Pink Floyd or Yes.

Yeah, I feel that. Genesis totally changed after Gabriel left. Phil Collins' stuff is catchy, but it does get a bit cheesy. Pink Floyd and Yes definitely kept that prog rock vibe stronger.

So it isn't that I hate Jimi Hendrix' version of 'All Along the Watchtower', it's just that I like Bob Dylan's version way better. Apparently I'm the weirdo, here.
