Re: What TV series are you watching or looking forward to this year?
It's going to be another great year for anime. Dragon Ball Daima is coming, that's what I'm looking forward to most, by far. Shield Hero may have its 4th season, hopefully.
There's also Frieren, Chainsaw Man, Mushoku Tensei, Sand Land, and probably more I'm not remembering. It's unlikely but Goblin Slayer could make a return as well, but Jujutsu Kaisen won't this year.
Oh, and Demon Slayer, of course. Interestingly, the manga is apparently so popular it trounced all American comics. I'm proud of it, that's very well deserved, I never thought manga would become this popular here. I hope there's another movie too, with comicbook movies flopping it'd be a good opportunity to make anime even more popular in the west.
Sort of related, there's a lot of pretty cool looking anime games coming out this year too. Maybe I'll make a separate topic about those.

With any luck, season 2 of Castlevania Nocturne will be this year.

Re: What TV series are you watching or looking forward to this year?
Currently, my wife and I are making our way through Supernatural. We're halfway through season 9. Once in a while we will watch an episode of the latest season of Black Mirror.
I'm not really sure what I've got to look forward to for 2024 television. I kinda got into Chainsaw Man and Castlevania Nocturne, like mentioned above. I'll watch Echo and What If, but those are out already.
I know I'm looking forward to the second season of Andor, but that's gotten bumped to 2025. Andor is so good. Like, I wouldn't have even thought to ask for a Star Wars show like Andor and it might be my favorite Star Wars thing (maybe...ESB is still really, really good).

...I haven't watched 'I Claudius' in a few years. That's an edifying experience.

Re: What TV series are you watching or looking forward to this year?
I stopped watching Supernatural after a few seasons. If I recall, it was not because I didn't want to still watch it but because they made watching it difficult. That's one I've meant to go back to. I'm sure I could easily find it now, but back then, The CW didn't seem to have a budget to run a website competently.
I had never heard of The Last Kingdom until just after it had been cancelled, but I've been watching that recently.
Reacher has remained good into its second season, and they have plenty of source material left for more.

...you know, I've got HBO Max. If I want to finish GoT, I should just sit down and do it. Episode a day during the week, couple a day on weekends. Like why not. Even if I go back and start from the beginning, I could knock it off by April or so.
Heck, I could knock off 'Boardwalk Empire', too. Always liked that show. (Probably shouldn't try to do them concurrently. I'd get confused. "Wait, when are Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky supposed to make it back to Kings' Landing, again? I feel like they shoulda got there by now...")

I've been watching shows while rowing and eating. I rarely sit down and watch a full episode all at once, but I can get through a few episodes a week 10 or 20 minutes at a time.

I watch shows my wife isn't into while on the stationary bike.
I always do podcasts or audiobooks while rowing. The TV in the workout room isn't lined up to watch while I row, plus the machine is pretty loud.

Reacher and Rookie right now. Was watching Made in Abyss, and it had cool world building, but it got too weird, and the characters were mediocre or bad, except Ozen, so I stopped.

I wanted to watch Made in Abyss but for some reason it's not on Crunchyroll, it's probably only on Netflix or something.

Man, it's annoying how anime is spreading across so many different streaming services now. I remember being surprised Bleach was only on Disney, it seems so random.

I can find old ROMs, but I've never tried for anything else. I wouldn't know where to begin lol
