Anyone remember Tomba, the PS1 Game?
I used to have such a blast on that game as a kid. I would play the **** out of the demo. I really dig the artype and unique game play.
I think it is what got me into platformers (alongside ape escape)

I remember the commercials. 'By golly, America loves Tomba.' Class.
...think I have the sequel knockin around somewhere (snagged a bunch of disc-only PSX games when the local Hollywood Video was in liquidation). Never played it.
It was called 'Tombi' everywhere outside of NA. Don't know why they changed it for here (presumably there was a copyright situation, but like what do I know).

Tomba was okay, but speaking of Ape Escape, I much, much preferred that.

Re: any one remember Tomba?
'Ape Escape' is good biz. Sequel's good, too. Only issue I have is with the title----------these are clearly monkeys, not apes. And putting the word 'escape' in the title is kind of a misstep, too. That makes it sound heroic---------------think 'The Great Escape', or 'Escape from Sobibor'. Nobody would call either one of those 'Stay Vigilant, Soldiers of the Reich, or the Prisoners Might Get Away', not unless they had brain problems.
There's nothing heroic about the gotdang monkeys in 'Ape Escape'. The Japanese had it right when they called the game 'Monkey Get You!' That is what monkeys do, you know.
