Re: Basketball Games
I've played NBA Courtside for the N64.
I learned that if I pick the Wizards & pass the ball to Muresan, there's absolutely nothing my brother or sister can do to stop me from scoring.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Re: Basketball Games
I'm pretty sure the last basketball game I played was Looney Tunes B-Ball on SNES. I used to play these a lot on NES but was never too into basketball. I'm not sure I've ever played one that featured all the NBA teams. The 2K games are widely hated for being abusive with their microtransaction practices. I own one of the NBA Live games on Gamecube that I never played. If I were to play a game now, I'd probably just download the one on RetroHoops.net, which is Tecmo Super NBA Basketball but with current rosters. I don't think I ever played the original, but the Tecmo football games were good. They also have a few others like Live and Jam.
To me, you are the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoon.

Re: Basketball Games
I only played three basketball games:
NBA Jam (SNES)
Space Jam (PS1)
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition (PS3)
I loved NBA Jam, but I thought OFE was just okay (it's the last one I played, around the time it released). Space Jam was a better movie than it was a game, I recall being somewhat disappointed with it even as a rental.
I'd like to play Mario Hoops some time out of curiosity.

Re: Basketball Games
They have a virtual currency in game so if you don't pay you will have a hard time leveling up. A lot of people would rather just drop money, and it seems to be effective because they keep doing it regardless of the terrible user reviews.LexDiamonds81 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 8:24 pmWhat are "microtransaction practices?"

Re: Basketball Games
ah, thx for the info. That is clear now. Yeah, does not sound great.
Hey question - since you are an Admin, how long until I can a) upload my Avatar and b) not have to have my posts cleared in advance? Just found this site other day pretty cool, was just wondering if maybe you know the answer?

I believe it is 10 posts to no longer go to the queue and 100 posts to be able to change your avatar and then the next level is 500 posts.
