Sakurai presents new DLC character himself

Preliminary report on the new guy: Awful mobility, pretty easy to execute all the weird directional attacks intentionally, except the non-crouch down tilts. Stage is fun. Classic isn't too bad, except for Lucario, who absolutely runs circles around Kazuya. He's got *2* fighter spirits, so make sure you check the Vault Shop after you clear his Classic mode. DLC Spirit Board is pretty easy except for Heihachi; Mii Brawler attacks very fast, it's stamina, & he'll get a free FS near the end, so you're gonna want an Autoheal spirit.

Also: The Sophia (Persona) & Arthur (Ghouls n' Goblins) gift spirits are now unlocked for the regular Spirit Board.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

. Underwhelming, but fine. Could've been much worse. I'm satisfied.

I'm not gonna lie & say he's what I wanted, but I'm not disappointed; he seems neat.

Final DLC character: Sora, the old Fighter Ballot winner.
--3-hit combos on jab, f-tilt, nair, & fair
--B: Firaga can rapid-fire before rotating to Thundaga
--Side B: Smash 4 Bayonetta
--Up B: Can chain into Side B, but not vice versa.

--Specialized victory animation
--Stage: Hazards-Off Smashville
--9 songs included, plus a bonus if you have a save file from Melody of Memory (note to self: rent Melody of Memory)

Yeah, I agree, he does seem neat. That reveal trailer was pretty good, too.

Unlocking a bonus song if you have a save file from Melody of Memory is cool. I've always liked it when save files from different games effect other ones.

Sora is finally here! performing for you if you know the words you can join in too

Handles great. Thundaga does not hit right in front of you.. The timing to chain his up B into side B is very tight.
His Classic route is yet another batch of stamina battles. Giant Ganondorf is weirdly hard to hit for some reason. Fights Cloud, but not Sephiroth. Missed opportunities: Falco to represent Donald, & Duck Hunt to represent Goofy.
DLC Spirit Board is decently challenging. Roxas is oddly reasonable for a Legend-class.

Unannounced bonus: The most recent save-file spirit, Razewing Ratha from Monster Hunter Stories 2, can now spawn in the Vault shop, & presumably also on the Spirit Board.

I agree, Sora does handle pretty well. Feels pretty smooth. I'll probably make him my secondary character after Samus.
