Well, I was in the scouts for ages and ages. I have considerable experience doing and teaching all of those and a few useful others (bowline, carrick bend, fisherman's knot, two half-hitches, taut-line hitch, clove hitch, timber hitch and sheepshank, most notably) (actually, the sheepshank isn't really all that useful----------it's mostly just funny to tie one and then hold it on your head with the loops hanging down like a sheep's ears. "Ahaahaaaa, get me----I'm a sheep! Baaa!" You start to lose your mind after a few weeks in the northwoods, you know).
