How's your campfire lighting skills?
ONLY talking about a controlled campfire situation.
When was the last time you got to light a campfire?
Can you light a fire using only basic equipment such as via rubbing sticks together, or use of flint & steel, or primitive tools such as the bow drill?
Can you light a fire when it's wet?
What's your favourite things to cook in a campfire?

I probably couldn't even start a fire with a flamethrower and a tank of gasoline.

Re: How's your campfire lighting skills?
I mean, I'm sort of okay-ish at starting fires, and so at camp I randomly was handed off the task of being in charge of making sure our stupid Sunday-night campfires kicked off properly. So then I got put in charge of the camp's supply of diesel oil and black powder. I really (I mean I really really) hated doing this. I didn't get into archery and tomahawk-throwing because I wanted to blow the world up, man. I mean, why didn't the scoutcraft guys get it tossed at them. I'm a pacifist, for cliff's sake.

I can do it with flint & steel if I've got a LOT of tinder, since I can't really aim the sparks. The smart money is on packing matches or a lighter, though.
I'm not 100% convinced the rubbing 2 sticks together thing is even real.
Best things to cook on a campfire: foil packs, marshmallows for smores.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I haven't made a fire in years, but I'm confident in my ability to do so. Maybe not in an emergency situation where resources are limited.
