That's the only good version of Coke.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

speaking of reviving old things

Mario World music with the original samples, instead of the snes crunched ones.

My stance on that is the same as the DKC soundtrack restorations; it's really cool and I think its great that people are making these, but a lot of people call them "the way they were supposed to sound" which I don't agree with.

Are comedy-focused spinoffs of cartoons the "Characters from an existing IP, but as kids/babies" of this generation?

By that, I mean, is it the next popular cartoon trend that will be run into the ground?

^^I can't think of any besides Teen Titans Regular/Go, so probably no.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It's been a common thing for anime for a while, full metal panic fumofu and carnival phantasm for instance

There was 50s nostalgia in the 80s, and there was 80s nostalgia in the 2010s.

Will we have 2000s nostalgia in the 2030s?

if we have a 2030s

but real answer is that yes AND we already have it because time on the internet moves so fast that it's not hard to find people being nostalgic for like, 2009.

Someone pointed out that the 2000s were a miserable decade outside of entertainment, and I thought about it and realized he's right.

9/11
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq
Katrina
The Great Recession

The 2000s sucked.

The 1987 TMNT cartoon was already a comedy-focused spinoff of the original comic. And the 90s films were comedies, too.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

The 1987 cartoon got darker in its last 3 seasons, though.

I find The Jetsons interesting because it gives you a good glimpse into what people in the 60s thought the future would be like.

I, for one, am glad that their prediction about the surface of the planet becoming uninhabitable has not yet come true.
