I found postings from him on 4chan (he even provided proof that it was in fact him) where he tried convincing a girl who looked noticably underage to de-robe herself. That disturbed me a little. If this owner of the website truly wanted to protect it's users, he would take every possible step to do so.....yet some obvious simple changes he could take are simply not being put forward....simply ignored. I'm actually disgusted by that. I would LOVE to be able to report these pedophiles myself but I don't want to get involved with investigations and **** like that. If there were an anonymous way to do so I would do it.
Putting this here because I wanted to share it with you all. This has been going on for years but nobody's publically spoken up about it. We all know what's been going on but there's just no crackdown on it. Omegle keeps the IP records but I have yet to find cases where they've actually turned over the information of suspected pedophiles to the FBI directly. In all of my news searches, there was only one case and it was someone broadcasting innappropriate material over video chat that they just so happened to catch.
Shouldn't website owners take an equal responsibility to their users if they see upfront something inappropriate going on? I highly doubt Leif K Brooks, the owner of Omegle, is ignorant about what the majority of Omegle users do on his website.[/QUOTE]
I am a mother of a recent incident and victim of omeagle I need help I am coming out and letting everyone no my nine year old daughter has had her life ruined by a scumbag pedo and have been told after 90 days this disgusting dirty info has been deleted and the child protection agency can't do nothing for me an my baby girl I need your help you don't have to tell me any of your details I do not mind coming out in the public and telling all I have just emailed that email and told him as long as I have air in my lungs I am not going to stop until omeagle is shut down I am so serious can u plz give me the input I need to take this so no othe innocent child has to go threw what my daughter has been going threw since Dec 2015 I live in Britain an I am willing to drop everything to get this site disdroyed no one harms any of my children an gets away with it

Whoa whoa whoa slow down there lady. I'm not a victim of anything that happened on omegle myself. I don't even think I have the possibility of being able to help you either. This thread is ages old and it was a discovery I made about how Omegle is crawling with pedophiles. Anyone can go on there and be confronted by them at any given minute. They feel safety with the anonymity. I don't have any information. It's common knowledge at this point that Omegle isn't a safe site. Omegle clearly states on the front page that nobody under the age of 13 can use the moderated section and that nobody under the age of 18 should go on the unmoderated section. I feel sympathy for whatever may have happened to your daughter of course. I do have to say though that a nine year old girl certainly should have her internet monitored. This is a video game forum. I cannot help you personally. Omegle holds information for 90 days until it is trashed unless it has been flagged and turned over to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or if they are subpoenaed. I have no information or actual proof that Leif K Brooks is a pedophile. I read about it on some site long ago that I cannot remember. The only thing I can say at this point for you is to start monitoring what your child is doing on the internet. If your daughter's life is being ruined by some pedophile she met on Omegle then you should turn over any contact that he/she may have had with her outside of Omegle. Websites usually store data for 120 days then delete it. If it's been as long as you say then the proof of your daughter meeting some pedophile on Omegle is long gone. The only advice I can give to you dear is to start monitoring your child's internet. The internet is a dangerous place for someone so young.
