Lemmings 1.3

Edit: Demo version 2 is now available at www.geocities.com/glyphphoenix/lemdemo2.zip

I've been messing with ROM hacks and level editor things, so I have quite a few projects I've been working on. I couldn't find a Lemmings rom level editor, though, so I started just messing around with Game Maker. I've become quite experienced with Game Maker, but it has its limitations, so I haven't made games with it lately.

After messing with my own Lemmings engine for a while, I developed it into a full blown game. Here are some screenshots:

As you can see, I made new graphics for everything, including the nuke button...

Once I create a save file script and after I make a few more levels, I'll release a demo. I've done a lot of work with text save files, so it shouldn't take long.

Edit: Here it is. http://home.ripway.com/2004-8/153220/lemdemo.zip

Awesome. Might I suggest you look around online to try and find someone to do graphics for it? Yours serve their purpose, but something very flashy could be applied to the game, making it more appealing. Just a suggestion. The game itself looks rather well constructed. I'll try it out sometime soon.

I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

The backgrounds move and change colors, and I'm happy with my sprites for now. I'll add more later. The thing is, I want this game to be something I did entirely by myself, graphics and all. Even music. Right now, though, there isn't any music except some noise at the beginning of the game. It's annoying and I plan on changing it.

The two top things on my list of things to change are the red flashing volcano background and the music. In fact, I think I'll go work on that right now.

Demo Version 2 has been made. It fixes bugs and there is a graphical improvement.

Looks good.

But couldn't you just use the Lemmings sprites from the actual games?
