Yes, your free round counts. Once you hit him, he's up; it takes him one turn to gather his bearings enough to shout for help. So that gives you the surprise round and then one turn. Basically you get two moves-- once you hit him.

Red: I'm feelin' a bit stronger. Not quite me ol' self, but it shouldn't be too long. So you took out us lookouts. There's a pair up north, or we could go west and get up to that lone slinger over there. Me guess is they're sleepin', but we still have to be quiet. By the way, we're holdin' some prisoners at the northeast end o' the beach. Dunno if that's any interest to ya, but at the very least the guard might be awake. Also, our-- their-- leader, crusty rat named Shells, might be too, he likes to plan raids and all that at night. I'm guessing the rest o' these layabouts are flat out. So what now?

Red: Well... there's two pairs in between us'n'Shells if we walk straight up the east beach, where we are now. The two people on the west beach are sleepin' alone. If we're real careful, we might be able to sneak up in between, although ye can see for yerself it's narrow. What d'ye think?

a) Head up the east beach (ambush pair)
b) Head up the west beach (ambush single person)
c) Sneak in between (remember-- Shells is probably awake, so even if you do reach him without further bloodshed, you'll have to end him quickly or it'll be a tough fight)
d) Something else
